Lol, a very simple carving one little chip at a time, not sure if my nerves are ready for this small, simple carving. Those eyes will look messy on mine, and if I can get thru the beak without breaking the endgrain. Ah, brother of the knife, you do these things and make it so simple so easy that I know that I may come close by the 10th carving, then you keep doing it... lol , knowing that my wife will love it and want one for my poor, mistreated grandson, all the while explaining, I still don't have the eyes right on the kitten in the tree. But that is the life of a carver.. thank you for your wonderful videos, and I'm getting better , not as fast as you put them out , but that's OK. Prayers love and respect from across the big pond.

feel ya, I think what we miss is the sharpening part.. at least here in spain nobody knows how to properly sharpen a whittling knife and there are no courses on how to wood carve either..so I am self-taught from youtube...I guess he cuts off every time he stops to strop the knives which is the key for smooth cuts ... it needs LOADS of practice tho. Good luck
