*Absolutely beautiful work. WOW! Love it. I noticed 3 things: 1- That you're an excellent artist. 2- that you have no eraser. 3- You have a boo-boo on your thumb.*
Same old knife, same old pattern, same hands! Different piece of art every time!! That fish knife in anyone else's hands would just be a fish knife. Thanks Kevin for your time involved in making this and all the others.
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thank you for this gift you are giving to all your viewers. Your work is truly amazing and peaceful to watch.
Hi Kevin, just finished watching your video. Great job. I am always amazed how you can take a block of wood & create a person that instills a story & image of a person selling door to door. Really enjoy all your videos & I hope to give this one a try as I continue to learn about carving.
Beautiful work sir. I did notice that you carved a tie and shirt collar but they were not there at the end.....did you not like them? Either way it was a pleasure watching you a chunk of wood and transform it to something so nice. Thanks for sharing.
i am just curious as to where you purchase your wood from. It looks like white pine. I live in Vienna, Austria (formerly an American), and have bought some kiln-dried wood from stores similar to Home Depot in the State (some kind of pine/fir) that is quite dry, brittle, and a challenge to carve. But your wood seems relatively easy to work with. Just wondering where you get it from. 🙂
I get it from a Home Hardware store. They get it from here on the east coast of Canada. Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. Not quite sure which province. For the most part it’s pretty decent.

@@KevinCoates98 do you generally coat your carvings with Terra Nova oil before you paint them, thanks in advance.

Your rough knifes where from been looking for them
How do you do the bag? I’m unsure how it would be attached to hand? Glue I suppose?
I carve the bag separate and attach it with a little strip of leather
Another beautiful figure, the roughed look, wrinkled pants. . . loved it
Thank you Dan
WHY is the face allways last to be done and i think the easyest to stuff up, is that a piece of pine wood ?
Good question. There's no particular reason why I do it last. It's just how I did it from the start. Yes it's pine I use
Complimenti,che legno stai usando
Thank you. It's white pine
What are u using to carve with?
It’s a fish knife that has been modified a little
It's been a while since we've seen a full blown character from you and this one is outstanding. Easy to do eyes too :)
Thanks Joe. I have to make time. The eyes are easy
Нужны основные размеры и пропорции в миллиметрах
Not sure. I grew up with the standard measurements of feet and inches
Hej, he looks a little bit like a member of the Corleone Family in the 50th. What is in his suitcase?😉
It says trinkets but I’m doubtful 🤨
Looks wonderful
Is this spruce??😮😅
It's white pine
This is a really cool character Kevin thanks buddy 👍 😊 I see you have your good old reliable fish knife nice 😊
Thank you. That good old knife but that piece of wood wasn't really good to whittle
