    Absolutely adore your lectures, and hope life is treating you very well, you have a wonderful straightforward approach that makes learning easy and enjoyable. I was wondering if you would be able to continue with the remainder bones of the lower extremities, I found a few videos in reference to the bones of the feet and the knee joint but nothing to reference the femur, or the tibia and fibula and all of their intricate parts. You are amazing and I thank you for all you have done and will continue to due for future students in the name of education, knowing we can trust you and the information you provide keeps us coming back for more.

    Would be awesome if you'd give more detail and in depth descriptions. It may not help a medical student. The structures you mentioned are just common basics. I'm not sayin that it's not useful, but it would be great if you'd also upload an in detail video covering not just basic but also pretty much almost everything you can.

    Is it possible to injure the ischiofemoral ligament? I think that I have an injury to my labrum, but this ligament is in the same location of where my hip joint pain is.

    • @frankbongio
      @frankbongio 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andréas Remis Not a traumatologist here, just studying medicine but from what I learned, it is pretty hard to injure the labrum or the hip ligaments without a violent traumatism. Tendon inflamation of hip muscles (glutes, piriformis, etc) from overuse seems more likely. Do you do a sport that does a movement with repeated use of the hip? Did the pain start with a violent fall? Do you have a complete range of motion (although with pain)? Did rest help? All those things will tell you how to heal best (Torn ligaments need surgery, Tendon inflamation just needs rest. If you tear a tendon apart surgery will also be needed) So, a dude from the internet is not enough. If the pain persists, consult your nearest traumatologist.

    •  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Franco Bongiovanni I injured my hip with a loaded end range of motion stretch. I was doing the side splits on the beach. MRI shows fluid extending between labrum and acetalabrum suggesting posterior labral tear.

    • @frankbongio
      @frankbongio 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see. Then it would be best for you to consult a traumatologist to see if you need surgery or not to heal it. But you've probably already went. :) Just a couple of recomendations. have you read Pavel Tsatsouline's "Relax into Strech"? It's a book that teaches proper stretching dynamics and how to properly do loaded stretchings. What I imagined happened was that at the end of the range of motion you tried pulling your hip out of the socket to increase the stretch. Doing that is not bad done softly and carefully. But forcing a hip stretch against extreme tension is not good because at that point the stretch is on the ligaments not on the muscles (and ligaments should never be stretched.). Perhaps it was also accumulative trauma of another activity that streched the ligaments and you just had bad luck and torn it on the beach. (I imagine you are a martial artist that does repeated kicking) So if you don't need surgery, rest and get your power stretching form alright and go slowly. Best of luck!
