He can have all his toys and personal effects on hand while renting the megayacht of his choice. That's having your cake and eating it - all the convenience, little of the cost; because boats depreciate and rarely cover their build plus running costs with charters.

That all, don't impresses me much. Bigger doesn't allways mean better. I love luxurious and wealthy lives. But I would prefer it a little bit more cushier and intimitated in my own privacy, if I've had so much money. Big boats like that, are only made for showing up. That's it. And for a billionaire it's not a big deal at all. They are all in touch with other rich people, so they can charter, and get some of this horrend costs back. But not all of them. Those boats are not only enjoyable. If you don't find enough charter, it ends up in a huge money eater. And if you want to sell it, good luck. Those ones who would have the money, to pay the price, follow there own taste to build it new. So in the end, you sit on a big, non profit monster. But at least you can make big partys, wich cost you again a lot, just to have some kind of use for it. And of course, everybody is nice, kind and friendly to you, just incase to be invited or getting a lower price for charter. And I guess, that's the main reason to own a boat like this, for a billionaire.
Lucky you don’t need to worry about any of those issues you outlined lol. People with the money to afford a super yacht+ don’t care about it becoming a depreciating asset and they don’t worry about the maintenance and operating costs like we would. All that matters is if their companies and other assets in their portfolio remain profitable.
You're right there. It seems to be difficult to maintain the proportions and clean lines needed for beauty in a boat once it gets bigger than about 200 feet. Once you add rich (wo)men's bubbles and nubbles like those internet things and helicopter pads, you've pretty much destroyed it.
