I know...the 2002 setup was used by Nicko in 80's and 90's, he had many different cymbals setup, Color Sound, Signature, 2002, Rude, Dimension... and now Signature Reflector and maybe in some time for another tour he will have a new setup, I'm very happy with 2002 :-))

You can't really tell the difference between the cymbals in a live recording, you have to play filling, Nicko himself doesn't always play the song in the same way
Here it's 2002 serie and sound very great, the signature sound is not better not worse, just a little bit different but it corresponds at McBrain and Maiden sound, ideal for a Maiden tribute :-)
Nicko is not a messy player he improvises but still sticks to the core structure of the song he plays mate. But well done covering the song. Besides Nicko expresses what he feels in the moment of play. And it doesn't take away from the song.

How do you know which cymbals to use? The ability to pick up the difference from a 17, 18, 19, and 20 inch crash from a live recording is amazing

Great Playing. Not a lot of tone variation in the toms at all, especially the smaller ones.
It's hard to pick out individual tones with a single camera mic, surely if he had each drum mic'd it'd be way easier to hear tonal difference
