Came by the garden center on Monday. Man you outdid yourself there. The trail and ponds and birds are amazing. Pam gave the full tour and let me film. She was great. You have some wonderful employees Ryan. I can’t wait to see the slide in action.
Your crew's effort and makeshift approach is what I like the most about this world record attempt. From what I've seen, the official ones are all blow up slides and it doesn't look like they were doing any digging or building any special ways to dig the trench or lay out the plastic, etc. This is so much better!

I am sure you have tested the slide by now but If you bundle 2 tubes together in the shape of and 8. It might help prevent spinning around hitting the sides on the way down.

I’m jealous I’m not gonna get to be there to join in on the fun lol. Do you have a transit? Your excavator operator could just not cut as deep on those low places then would h have to fill in material on those places? Enjoyed watching the dozers push!
Salut Amigo ! Just 2 thoughts I have about your work in progress. Why not using a laser to make sure you have a steady slope all along the entire profile ? Much easier ! And I think that when the excavator will open the trench in the freshly added materials, they may "go west" because they are not enough compacted, apart from the dozer coming and going. Just to say buddy, from an ol' timer of earth moving jobs !! Rock on and good luck anyways !!
one thing you really need to film if you want to get the record is measuring the slide from start to finish with a engineering tape so you have proof of distance

I bet you could recover all your plastic if you cleaned all the dirt off with a firehose its just a matter of rolling it up somewhat tightly then it would be just a matter of buying another roll for another record if they give you the official record raise it again next year or do the worlds fastest slip and slide with a near vertical drop
We built one for our kids one year wouldn't go very fast so we went to dollar general and bought all the baby oil they had and poured down it then went like a rocket
neat idea, looks expensive. you must have had good lawyers if you got divorced w/ all these assets. how do you find the time to manage it all. having good people is the key to business i found in my limited experience. easy to say but hard to do.

Just a suggestion to save on amount of dirt moved, but dig the dip deeper and put some tires in there for filler. Might add some bounce too 😉.
