why is this not trending on reddit.. i mean wtf.. gotham.. pete being de nero. sad lonely guy who just wants to make people laugh. half of the movies plot is in this sketch.
bens I can't believe he's still there. I think he'll definitely leave and move on to other things soon, hopefully. I hope he doesn't sell himself short just to please the unpleasable.
I hope he gets fired so someone with talent can make the show better.. this guy is so lame, he plays a lame character mostly on the show.. watch and see
Go watch Brigsby Bear. Its not really what you would expect of Kyle but he is a really good actor and it shows in the movie. He also wrote it. Its different but I really enjoyed it!
If anything, he's showed us he knows how to do what's inspiring even if it's making difficult choices, so that he can keep that connection with his comedic genius. So long as he doesn't pass away prematurely, god forbid, I'd say he's right on path moving at his perfect speed, being exactly where he's supposed to be at the moment. I agree with you Jason Genova, when we see him in movies it will be amazing, but I think that's because the whole industry will have changed to trying to find ways to keep up with his comedic genius.
As a huge Ronny Donnyonyae fan I just want let him know that his fans stands with him during this difficult time for his family as they deal with the 4 year prison sentence that his son Ronny Donnyonyae junior recieved for cocain charges. Thats why he wasn't in this set.
Kyle could be a great fucking dramatic actor. It'd be a shame cuz he's one of the funniest people on earth, but jesus christ he had me nearly crying with that. Love this Bruce Chandling routine.
I can't get off my mind this morbid thought that he killed himself after his set and even that part with Kevin and his friends is his dying afterthought. Think about it, Ronnie Donnyonae appears outta nowhere, then he's just not there anymore, and then Kevin and the guys suddenly understand him and laugh uproariously at his bad joke, then the final dream sequence of his ideas on TV. The last real events of his life are he seeing off the audience home and Artie and Atell turning their backs on him at the bar.
I also think it’s in his head. The ad features everything he said, like calling Michael Che and Jay Pharaoh “The Soul Brothers.” That part was especially funny to me.
Alex Marie Davis Those two writers who wrote that should be fired. There's no reason why men in their 40s and 50s should be writing FART sketches. Are they secretly in second grade?
Jay E I thought it was funny. Watched it again and thought it was funny. 978 likes, 77 dislikes. Yeah he really sucks, I'm glad you were able to give us all a better perspective.
kyle is the only reason to watch SNL. sad he's not making crazy ass goodneighborstuff anymore, but happy he and beck get to bring some of their influence to the mainstream
I keep coming back to this one because it's such a perfect nugget of comedy. The way that it's phrased, "...the people that I would wanna love me..." - not even that he loves. Perfect.
And the “and I think that’s why I’ll never get to have kids”…the “get to” breaks my heart, not just “I’ll never have kids”, it something he regards as a blessing and would fill in a piece of his heart. But knowing he’ll never have it because he has no one is just…oof
So funny. More Bruce Chandling! And it's so sad when he gives the whole speech about nobody being in his corner. It actually made me feel emotional. Kyle can obviously do drama well too.
Kyle is everything. I hope his getting cut every episode becomes his legend to the point it supercedes the show and he gets success from it. He's really a Avant garde treasure
This humor is the shit. Need more of this subtle shit with Kyle and pal. turns out they really were the soul brothers and they were headed to a slam dunk contest.
Kyle's one of the greats. Hugely talented in both writing and acting (comedic and dramatic). Massive range. He's got a future, and I can't wait to see it.
I remember when Ronnydonnyonnae was just starting out, he used to do this gag with a hamburger until one day he switched it to a hot dog... took it to a whole other level. As they say, the rest is history.
What’s so amazing about Kyle mooney is he got onto SNL with his talent in TH-cam. I was watching kid skits on TH-cam years before he got on SNL. He ranks with the greatest. Loved brigsby bear. Love that it came from his mind and heart.
as much as I've pretty much ubiquitously pulled my media off torrents and before that, limewire, and before THAT Napster, I would like to put the money somewhere it'll trickle down to Kyle.
Great sketch. I feel like sketches like this, which make fun of the comedy or entertainment industry itself, are a little harder for a wider audience to appreciate (as opposed to other comics), but I think they show great understanding of character, which make them even more provocative. People who don't get it are stupid.
First I would like to say that this sketch is amazing. I don't think it's necessarily over anyone's head though. It's for people with a dark sense of humor unless you were to argue that Bruce Chandling is a comedian's comedian and therefore draws from the pain of bombing as a comedian and it's therefore a niche comedy. I'm no comedy stalwart but I know if you've never been to the Slam Dunk Contest you probably wouldn't understand the irony of fate. Haven't watched a sketch this many times in a while but there needs to be more Standup on TV.
Prick comment. I feel like prick comments like this which take themselves or their wider delusions way too seriously aren't really that much harder than general everyday prick comments and are easy for a broader audience (as opposed to other pricks) to understand, but I think they show a massive lack of understanding of what it is to have character, which make them even more provocative. People who don't get it are stupid.
I like Kyle Mooney’s skits. His anti-humor approach is pretty refreshing and diversifies the style of SNL. I just don’t think he has a broad appeal because most people don’t get the appeal of anti-humor.

... and this is how Joker (2019) was born.
I fully expected this in the comments.
It’s so true though. 😂😂😂
I was thinking the same thing! Even the Gotham in the background 🤔
And $1 million NDAs for Pete Davidson...
watched this first time and immediately started looking for the joker comment
why is this not trending on reddit.. i mean wtf.. gotham.. pete being de nero. sad lonely guy who just wants to make people laugh. half of the movies plot is in this sketch.
Stop cutting Kyle's bits.
They are the best thing about the show right now.
Remy Carreiro yes
really? he is not that funny
T-Bone No, he truly is hilarious. My second favorite cast member, next to Kate McKinnon.
These are not bits that didn't make the show... "Cut for Time" is just a series of videos that they make for the TH-cam channel.
go watch good neighbor!
if you don't think this is funny, its ok... Kyle's used to not having anybody in his corner.
🥺🥺🥺
@FBI Either way, he can’t have children. So.... there’ll be no Bruce Junior, or Lil Kyle.
True! 😆
...and....ya know...hia body doesn't work that way...
Maybe if women didn’t take so long to get ready, they would appreciate it more.
Dude, Kyle is fkn legit. That range, and dedication to character is insane.
..kinda took us all by surprise with the "pile of trash, never gonna have kids" bit 😅..😒...😔......
Range?! I used to enjoy him quite a bit til I figured out he really just does the one character.
I love how Kyle Mooney crosses that line of I wanna laugh at him but, I'm not sure if this guys in pain or not.
+José Gómez hes in pain but he would want you to laugh
I know it seems to come from a real place he's really a good actor
José Gómez Now I gotta watch this again
So true
Kyle CutForTime Mooney
Lmaoooo
Can they add that into the show intro
I'm glad they actually went through with producing one of Kyle's skits. I love his mix of humour and sadness.
FunWithGuru I love you Guru
It got cut for time.
Dis one got bounced.
I know it's 3 years later but u should watch his new movie "Brigsy Bear" then
This is low key my favorite SNL bit of the new cast
More Ronny Donnyonyae please.
hahaha that killed, me, always has a hot dog in his hand
what is that smell. i literally laughed at just that name for an hour.
hopefully we'll get more RD and maybe Ronny Jr too
Jordy Burt
***** Craig Simpson
I wish they wouldn't stifle Kyle's sense of humor.
bens I can't believe he's still there. I think he'll definitely leave and move on to other things soon, hopefully. I hope he doesn't sell himself short just to please the unpleasable.
Pardon Me he did make brisgby bear
Look at the bright side bro, compared to most Kyle made it. I too share your wish but I'm glad he's as big as he is.
I hope he gets fired so someone with talent can make the show better.. this guy is so lame, he plays a lame character mostly on the show.. watch and see
@@lancebuttercream9817 i dont think thats a bright side in reality
This literally made me cry
omg me too.
Rapportus5 omg me three
Yup
Me too. I’m sitting here with tears streaming down my face
Me 7 guys
Best thing about SNL, by far. He needs his own weird ass show, like an American new age acid monty python.
Haatchii I agree and I also like your Syd Barrett picture!
Haatchii A.k.a he needs an adult swim show
he have his own weird ass show though, on youtube!
Hes good right here
Him and beck used to have a TH-cam channel but yeah they need their own show
This is fucking powerful and tears at your emotions because it's genuinely funny and sad, genius work.
comedy is just a wat to make poeple laugh while conveying a true message
Dude this guy needs to get off SNL and get into movies. Dude is a good actor.
Jason Genova he’s been In zoolander 2 and he made a movie that stars him
Go watch Brigsby Bear. Its not really what you would expect of Kyle but he is a really good actor and it shows in the movie. He also wrote it. Its different but I really enjoyed it!

If you're not down with the Groove Cats I just don't know what to tell you.
I cracked when I saw the tear dripping on his cheek, that was too much for me to take! Kyle Mooney is brilliant I swear
Jesus christ how was this cut. Kyle is one of the greatest most original comedic minds SNL has ever had.
As a huge Ronny Donnyonyae fan I just want let him know that his fans stands with him during this difficult time for his family as they deal with the 4 year prison sentence that his son Ronny Donnyonyae junior recieved for cocain charges. Thats why he wasn't in this set.
Ronny origin aeries? After the Bruce origin series
Netflix can co invest with the NBA slam dunk contest
Kyle could be a great fucking dramatic actor. It'd be a shame cuz he's one of the funniest people on earth, but jesus christ he had me nearly crying with that. Love this Bruce Chandling routine.
Watch Brigsby Bear 😊
That actually pulled some heart strings, like you know that ending was most likely all in his head.
wha?
I can't get off my mind this morbid thought that he killed himself after his set and even that part with Kevin and his friends is his dying afterthought. Think about it, Ronnie Donnyonae appears outta nowhere, then he's just not there anymore, and then Kevin and the guys suddenly understand him and laugh uproariously at his bad joke, then the final dream sequence of his ideas on TV. @@punkiller666 they suddenly laugh as his jokes cause they feel sorry for him. I think you're over thinking it man
@@punkiller666 how in heaven is this even possible; i thought of the exact same things.
I also think it’s in his head. The ad features everything he said, like calling Michael Che and Jay Pharaoh “The Soul Brothers.” That part was especially funny to me.
This is great. This is so amazingly uncomfortable and sad, in a hilarious way.
2:30 Made me so sad and laugh hysterically in a span of like 10 seconds. When he explained the show again with tears in his eyes lmao
I swear I've liked every Cut-for-Time skit more than almost every skit that I've seen air recently.
"we're about to go slam dunk, you wanna come?"😂😂😂😂😂😂 This whole sketch is brilliant
This was good. A shame it was cut. Whatever though, glad we have TH-cam to see the quality stuff they can't air because it's not as mainstream.
Kyles a genius.
They kept the farting sketch and didn't keep this??
Alex Marie Davis Those two writers who wrote that should be fired. There's no reason why men in their 40s and 50s should be writing FART sketches. Are they secretly in second grade?
Alex Marie Davis Will some1 link to the fart sketch pls. I wanna see it.
Beck's cameo is so great here
His face when he says, "I'm down with the groove cats!" is profoundly hilarious. He's so enthusiastic and innocent, really.
Kyle's comedy isn't for everybody. It's for me though.
Jaime Gandarilla You'd rather it be so broad and accessible that it has no bite or perspective at all?
All those people can kiss, my mother's toushy. And let me tell you, it's a biiiig toushy!
I know Kyle's style is "weird funny" and not "funny funny." But he is not really funny... AT ALL. He's just trying his best to be weird and awkward...
He's done this character before on Weekend Update a couple of times, and it was funny.
Jay E I thought it was funny. Watched it again and thought it was funny. 978 likes, 77 dislikes. Yeah he really sucks, I'm glad you were able to give us all a better perspective.
They should make an episode of cut for time sketches :// A lot of these are funnier than what actually aired
BellaPigeon1 That's actually a really great idea
indeed
@@Jayonthehill it's no "Stand-up on TV," but it ain't bad
"That's why... I'll never get to have kids."
Has to be one of the best lines in SNL history.
Dave Attell and Artie Lange casually doing a cameo on a bit that gets cut for time is the most Comedy™ thing there is
....that..that was too real for me lol.
There is something about this sketch, that I always end up coming back to it
kyle is the only reason to watch SNL. sad he's not making crazy ass goodneighborstuff anymore, but happy he and beck get to bring some of their influence to the mainstream
yeah i think the three should keep working together. Leave snl and get back to youtube or watever.
***** oh i didnt realize they hired nick! thats great
Kyle is so underrated. He is the best thing that happened to SNL in the last few years.
This skit just absolutely does it for me it’s the best in every type of way
This skit was what actually made me watch SNL again. I just thought it was so smart, deep and funny.
Kyle reminds me of Andy kaufman both in looks and comedy.genius.
Ew no
I just realized how many skits kyle has on cut for time. I actually had to look for this skit. It's so good.
I keep coming back to this one because it's such a perfect nugget of comedy. The way that it's phrased, "...the people that I would wanna love me..." - not even that he loves. Perfect.

After Hart says 'we're not interested in working with you,' Chandling definitely zones out and the rest happens in his head.
Gotta go to a slam dunk contest 😂
Kyle needs to start a show called “Cut for Time” it’s ridiculous. He’s the GOAT!!!
I can’t believe they cut this. It’s hilarious
They gotta get Kyle back I miss this his brand of comedy is visceral and honest
“Slam dunk contest” i was ded!
I know this is sad, but I come to watch this from time to time to cry.
This is the best SNL skit I have ever seen. 10/10. Kyle's tears made the entire skit for me.
"We're gonna go slam-dunk, you wanna come?" XD
So glad this clip is still up. I watch it at least once a week
When that tear went down his cheek! Oh my! 😂
This is one very talented actor/comedian.
The fact that Ronnie Donnyonae is holding a hot dog with only mustard, makes that character so much more funny....AND I DON'T KNOW WHY!
Yes...yes I do
Found the Chicagoan
Ketchup is fuckin disgusting
Ketchup on a hot dog is gross and ruins the flavor. Yellow or brown mustard on a hot dog is the way hot dog creators intended
I'm down with the groove cats. LMFAO
Kind of reminded me of Michael Scott
On point acting. You have to get it, in order to "get it". I watch this video on a daily basis and get the same reaction each and every single time
100%
if you watch this on a daily basis, you need to reevaluate your life choices
I keep coming back to this skit. It's so perfect.
God this makes go from laughing to wanting to cry to laughing again, i love kyle
I'm down with the groove-cats.
There is so much incredible talent in this skit
This humor is the shit. Need more of this subtle shit with Kyle and pal. turns out they really were the soul brothers and they were headed to a slam dunk contest.
God I love Kyle.
This is the greatest SNL skit i've ever seen...
every moment was gold....
Literally the inspiration for the Joker movie.
This happened to my buddy Bruce Chandling
Kyle's one of the greats. Hugely talented in both writing and acting (comedic and dramatic). Massive range. He's got a future, and I can't wait to see it.
This shit got so deep so fast. I can't stop watching it, it's incredible. Seems like he has some real acting chops too.

Right here…on television.😂

I like Kyle Mooney’s skits. His anti-humor approach is pretty refreshing and diversifies the style of SNL. I just don’t think he has a broad appeal because most people don’t get the appeal of anti-humor.
That tear rolling down his cheek... Perfect detail!
Bruce Chandling needs a spin-off show.
That was amazing! Such an uncomfortable situation turned to sad and touching and then happy. I wish I could write like that.
Lol, my mom also loooves to talk
The Soul Brothers 3:40 IS INSANE
Comedy for emotionally intelligent people. This is a masterpiece.
Josh Kirschenbaum nailed it
It's not that deep.

Kyle Mooney is the most talented under appreciated comedian on SNL. His acting is so good. I actually started tearing.
