Just so beautiful. We were there Sept thru Oct for 10 glorious days. Had lunch at Kimo's and did some shopping too. But my husband mentioned that almost all of the buildings were made of wood. Our hearts are aching for all of the people that live in Maui, especially in Lahaina Town. 😢 I have found the charity of my choice and will be donating soon as I get put of the hospital. ❤❤❤❤❤

💙 Thank you, that was so well-done. My heart ached as I remembered 💔 exactly how it was. Much Aloha spirit

Oh my heart.... 💔 We are there every year, and I just can't believe I will never see any of these places again. And the huge loss of life, above all, is soul-crushing. I can't help but think that maybe someone we met there died in the fire. This video is a beautiful glimpse of Lahaina.

Thanks for posting. On the Main Land, we all think of Hawaii as a Paradise. It's so sad to see and hear what the natives are going through at this time.
It's good to see it as it once was, and probably hard to see someone write, "once was" about a place you were just enjoying, and probably wanted to go back too.

what the fuck are the natives? And what about other people and ethnicities? I thought racial segregation was over in the previous century?

I remember buying jewelry, hawaiian clothing and shaved ice on Front Street. So sad. Thanks for posting this awesome video.

The fire was nothing. Humans are powerful and will always withstand the test of time.

    History begins at any moment.
May God’s love and God’s strength be with the people of the community, impacted in the area/region, to see them all through this difficult time in their lives, into the future of the state/country. May community love sustain.

Public officals need to be charged for not responding to this disaster... They have tsunami alarms that should have been sounded to get people out fast... there was silence as the fire came.. no one should have died

Sadly fires have been a regular occurrence for many years already, especially up on the hills in Lahaina. People got used to it. If officials turned on the siren every time there was a fire, it would be going off every few days. I’m serious. This caught everyone off guard because fires have never blown into town. They always stayed up on the hillside.

@@plumeria66 There’s videos of the town burning .. yet no sirens
      Inexcusable
