Maximum the hormone is an incredible band. They fuse so much style, they switch genres so easily from nowhere. In that sense they are so much fun and unique.
Maximum the Hormone's bass player is a huge fan of flea actually. He even has the same tattoo as flea and even said it in interview.

They explained all their influences and it's not just American rock or metal though. They're even influenced by Japanese pop groups. But for some of those complaining about it for some reason. Name one band that never started any type of music without any influence from anybody.
The drummer and guitarist are Siblings. You are right on the RHCP. The bassist of MTH is heavily influenced by Flea, that he is known as the "Flea of Hachioji (which is the town they grew up in)". I love MTH

MTH is one of the greats. There are so many absolutely insane/kickass songs of theirs to check out. This is one of the tamest ones. Be prepared.

Saw them open for Dropkick Murphy's like 10 years ago. It was awesome. Bought the shirt, still wear it.

It's not that the band is suddenly getting popular, it's just that reaction videos are pretty new, like 3 or 4 years ago this kind of videos didn't exist.
