Trans Air 290 'In the movie' was a 747??? , there was no sign of a L-1011on the clip shown here? I have worked with these aircraft for 26 years at 'LHR' , if the movie shows a L-1011 thats fine, but this clip shows a 747. 99% of the time an APU does not come into it, its mainly for ground power when the engines are not running......what has that got to do with it?
guys listen the jet shown was a 747 that crashed there was no l 10 11 trust me i have study every commercial jet out there and there was no l 10 11 trans air 290 was a 747
@lhrmtsup1 Mabe you don't follow me, the 747 was design for flying with 4 engines plus de APU, the L-1011 was design for flying with 3 engines plus the APU, on the movie the TRANSAIR 290 was al L-1011 not a 747, take a look on the DVD Movie and you will see that the 747 scenes are not shown at the beginning and you will see the tail section of an a L-1011 not of 747, because i have the movie on DVD. IT'S 100%TRUE

Kiefer Sutherland is a solid actor, you could feel the anguish which he felt when Trans-Air 290 went down.
the 747 scenes are from the Movie TURBULENCE with Lauren Holly, the TRANSAIR 290 was an L-1011, not a 747
