YEP! That is the problem now. The offer differs all the time. You got what you needed today , and the other resorts did not. Tomorrow it will be the oposite .
Been awhile since we were at the Tryp, great to see the place again. Nice to see they are rebuilding a beach bar, the old one right on the waters edge got removed by a hurricane some years ago. Looks like its still an option.
Tryp was my first hotel I went to in Cuba back in 2002...but I stayed there when it was 2 sections, The Colonial and the New Section (which is what it is now) it was huge!! They had this little train that would take you from one end to the other, it was great ! The Colonial section was sold many years ago(not sure of it's name now). It's been far too many years since I've been to Tryp but I hope to go there this year, it holds special memories for me. Thanks for the great video😀🌞

Tryp was my first hotel stay in Cayo Coco. Good times 3/4 times a year. I remember the disco, on the ground floor, the beach restaurant ( which was demolished after hurricane Irma), fantastic staff, lots of daily activities. Steve and his dance lessons. Did I go for the food, NO!! did I starve, NO! Did I go for the beach?, Hell yeah. What I recommended yes, I would. Will I ever revisited? Yes, I will. Great job on this video.

I'd never heard of this resort before your video. I love that it's small and quiet. I'm with you on that respect...I love the tranquility. I don't want to be on a packed beach or waiting in line for 30 minutes at the buffet. Great video, Mike! See you in the next one!

We were there about 6 years ago and it was dated then . We go now the melia caycoo now and have been there 6 times.

Great video. Nice inexpensive trip and thanks for telling it exactly like it is . The beach looked great and as you continually explain- you have to be prepared for the current situation and be ok with that…but I must say that you have had more luck on many of your trips.

This video got me emotional. TRYP CC was the first Cuban resort I visited back in 1998, I was 7 yo 😂 I’ve been back to Cuba over 30 times since, but just never returned to TRYP…but I vividly remember the grounds as not much as changed since based on your video😅

Love watching your videos. We are heading to ensenachos for the first time in February. One thing I would love to see is more info on restaurants. Example some resorts are by reservations only on the day of which means 6 am lineup to book. Keep up the great work.
When it comes to Restaurants at the Resorts,
Depends on the time of Year, when I’m there in the fall a lot of them are closed or booked up fast!!!
And unfortunately I don’t have a lot of time to do everything!!!!

What hotel is this family friendly?
Went last summer…beach is beautiful no seaweeds…clean pool…liked the sausage, no bacon, no shrimps, no grilled food on hot plate…in 7 days, one time bbq and huge fish that went fast..got to get there early…tilapia fish in ala carte not edible..food is the same served in buffet…show is fantastic

They offer good drinks the beach bar is good as well.
I would highly recommend TRYP CAYO COCO

Before COVID you are also allowed to use the facility of SOL CAYO COCO and Hotel Vigi since they are sister company.
When you check in at TRYP they give you a voucher to go to any of the two hotel and used the facility eat.
In one day.

Looks like a nice resort. That is one thing i have learned about Cuba. Don't expect anything and you will walk away loving it. Cuba is one of the nices places we have gone. Next week we will be down. Cant wait

Would love to see a review of sol Cayo coco,we’ve been there 5 times and always enjoyed it ,they were always accommodating and gave us our favourite room area on right side 2nd floor👌2 different beaches there also 👍looking forward to a Pullman review also may try there some day,go check out Lenny’s lobster shack while your in Cayo coco really neat place 👌

Just came back from Cayo Coco, and OMG the mosquitos. I been to Cuba over 15 times and I never experieced this much mosquito bites. Bug spray didn't help at all.

not to bad for a 3.5 star resort. The trip was one of my first resort to Cuba. I've probably been there a dozen of times and there's only a hand full of resorts id be going back to and this is one of them. the food is amazing, the property is clean, the staff are friendly and its always a good time at the trip !!!

I was there back in 2000, ibwas 13, it was once huge resort at that time. It has since bean split in half i guess, that piano bar was on the other side of the resort when i was there. Imits neat seeing all those places i still remember

Good morning and thank you for your video. It took my girlfriend and I almost a week to pick a resort in Cuba and your videos definitely helped with our decision. We will be arriving at Tryp Cayo Coco on March 16th. Can't wait!!!! One question, which you may have answered in one of your videos that I might have missed, is the selection of excursions your typical Cuba selection? Catamaran, Jeep, etc. What do they offer? They will tell you what’s available and you can come up with your best choice!!!

We've been to Tryp and may go back now that many rooms have been renovated and other fixes/updates and once the new beach restaurant is done :) That small building that was outside the frront (about 16:30 of the video) is the Cuban ala carte (we got to eat there), very "rustic" looking and loved it! I assume the other 2 ala cartes were not open either (just Azul).
I wish it was opened when i was there, it did open shortly after i left.....of course lol,
rooms are clean and comfortable but still dated, but for what i paid i have no complaints

Looks like current food shortages at this place are not an issue compared to the current situation at resort (MF) we first met a while ago.

thanks and BTW the Club Tryp was our first hotel we visited in Cuba back in the 1990's. There were only 2 hotels on that beach; this one and the one next door called the Colonial. at the time it was one super hotel where both resorts where all in one !

They Food quality at this resort was good. Chicken, Lamb, Beef Pork and fresh fish in the buffet everyday!!!FOR PROTIEN, Next Saturdays video will show some of the meats, Beach WALK AND Talk.!!!

Visited a long time ago and it was run down then. We did have a good time but now I can't recommend it as it looks like they are still struggling to keep this resort going.

We heard from a travel agent that flies are terrible in Cayo Coco. She called it an infestation due to the sanitation facility and of course all the lagoons around. She made it sound terrible. I get flies, you are on a tropical island, but the agent made it see so bad that we booked Santa Maria instead. But I have been wondering, are the flies as bad as this agent made it seem?
Rumor is, you cannot be outside at all and there are flies all over the open air restaurants etc.
It depends on weather the wind rain, it app plays it part!!!

@@Finding-Fish we were looking at Playa Coco next to Flamenco. We booked Grand Sirenis in Santa Maria. Beach looks very calm there and great for a toddler.
But I was worried we got scared off of Coco Cayo as the area looks nice.
Exactly as Mike said - but if going bring lots of bug spray and use it! Also bring after bite and calomine lotion and of course all the other needed things

i don’t use a gimbal, but the way i walk believe or not!
How do you deal with the tipping? You tip in $ US or Canadian? I know you can’t use coins but the closed paper money in Canadian is the $5.00
If you want to tip everyone $5.00 bucks that seems to run into a lot of money.

you decide to bring $100 in $5.00 bills
And you start your day off everyday in the main lobby and have a few coffees and maybe sit there for a few hours and maybe order a few more drinks....
it's the same bartenders usually from day to day!!!!
So maybe at the beginning you give a $5.00 tip, and maybe after breakfast you go back to the lobby for a beer, dealing with same server and bartenders and get a beer!!!
it's not like you have to give $5.00 every time you order something. But i give a $5-$10 and i'm good for a bunch of drinks or cocktails and they love that you looked after them with paper money.
I also will ask to buy coins from them, Maybe $20 or $50 worth
and take the coins home for coffee or gas!!!!
and you can also ask to exchange $20 USD for $20 USD $1 bills they also love that...
tip what you feel in your heart... tip what you can afford and what feel right!!!there's no right or wrong tip!!!

The Wifi is always free!!!

Pullman was amazing when I went and the owner of the hotel is amazing. I also want to add they give your surveys so you can share your input on their hotel and services. The beach and pools aren't as big or like some other resorts but we had a pretty good experience.
