Looking for a similar type of property here in Wisconsin or UP- want my own piece of peace. LOVE the whole set up, by a town and conservation land, site by a road makes it more accessible, the kitchen is very cool . Love your channel, you guys do a great job of giving an honest assessment of the land etc. I would love to add a 4 season porch area to get that solar aspect in the house and open it up to that incredible woods. Does anyone do geothermal heating up there?

Rick have a question to ask. Iam looking at properties that my great ,great grandfather received by the Crown of England up in Maine on T8 . This land was included during the Ashburton Treaty settling the border between Canada and United States that any of the loyalist would maintain land from the King and past down from generations. I have the land information. So how do I go about claiming ?

Local transfer station. It is open several days a week. You take your own trash there.

I laugh when I see some commentors who know nothing about the state of Maine and the real estate market pipe in. They would truly be shocked to see the prices five years ago on these camps. Not to mention spending a few days "off grid" in the Maine woods.

Firewood for your own use or to sell to others. Occasionally sell logs to mills, home for wildlife, ability to forage for mushrooms, berries and other edible plants. Need I go on?

You buy two goats or two sheep and some chickens and or ducks and you can wild forage them in the forest for free. It's healthier than GMO stuff. If you do it right, going to town for food would be a holiday. 💪🌲

What an interesting opportunity for someone. Can you let me know if you are able to build other properties within the acreage? I’m not so keen on the property itself but I can definitely build my own log cabin with the help of the Amish community and the woods required for the build are right there.
