Your a perfectionist Michael. I would have just cleaned up the old silencer and used it.😂😂.

Sometimes we all have to take a deep breath and walk away , say a few “adjectives “ and go and have a cup of tea. The wise ones amongst us believe tomorrow will be better. Take care Michael , your talent will overcome these small set backs 👍👍

Hey Michael. I’ve just found your channel after buying my first Greeves. (I’ve wanted one for decades) Thank you so much for what you do! Please let me know if you ever make down to Texas

I feel the same today. Just spent a couple of hours trying to tune my recently built Bonneville, felt like I was going backwards. Lets hope tomorrow is a better day...

Try turning your insert upside down. It might be protruding into the outer shell enough and then it can be trimmed as you like. Better than tossing it in the bin. Thanks!!!and Happy Fathers Day!!

I second this… it might work! Though it might put the cutout on the wrong side… heck! Try it. Please. Les

It's no fun when the gremlins strike Michael. Tomorrow is another day. I've been too busy with the day job to make videos. Hope you have a good week. Dean.

Clearly need a thicker coat of "a good looking at" on that silencer and a few more nights of sleeping on it. On the plus side, if you're anything like me, the ropy bit can go in the big box of bits of metal with the wrong size hole in, wonky brackets, too long/too short bowden cables and pieces of pipe with the bend in the wrong place to one day live again as perfect for something entirely different. Every workshop has one, anyone who says they don't, doesn't fabricate parts.

Michael, Michael, look lets face it's just a rough job in the country, get the sun lounger out .Get your slippers on with a glass of Sanatogen in your hand and a mug of Horlicks at your side and just chill out. Don't you go worrying your socks off for one second about us propping up the bar watching the football and consuming the Foaming Broon.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Difficult job spec in an awkward position. I’m looking forward to the finished product.

Oh fiddlesticks! One of those days.. I like your silencer constructions though. Practical and workmanlike. Thanks for struggling while we watch😊 Les in Chester🇬🇧

could you not use a tube as the bottom of the silencer, cut and drilled to pass gases, blank off the end, ?

At first you said an inch1/4 then you said inch3/4. Maybe you keyed in the wrong size.
