Celebrating 100 Years of Safe Milk with the Cornell Dairy Bar

We joined our partners at Cornell University’s Dairy Processing Plant for a Facebook Live to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the PMO, Grade A” Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO), developed by the U.S. Public Health Service in 1924!
Experts from the Department and Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences shared why were proud to celebrate 100 years of safe milk, discussing the history and importance of the PMO, took a behind-the-scenes peak at how Cornell’s famous Cornell Dairy ice cream is made in the plant with milk sourced from Cornell cows just one-half mile away, and answered our followers' submitted comments about dairy!
