The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets’ mission is to foster a competitive food and agriculture industry that benefits producers and consumers alike. The Department, through its various divisions and programs, works to promote the agricultural industry and its world-class products to ensure the growth of the industry, foster agricultural environmental stewardship and safeguard the State’s food supply.

This is a recording of the January 2025 New York State Soil and Water Conservation Committee Meeting.
The New York State Soil and Water Conservation Committee (SWCC) works to advance comprehensive natural resources management through the support of local Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs). The SWCC operates under the leadership of the Department of Agriculture and Markets to establish policy, foster partnerships, and support diverse SWCD programming that help farmers and communities address environmental challenges and protect New York’s natural resources. The SWCC is composed of five voting members appointed by the Governor of New York State in addition to advisory members from agencies, organizations, and academia who represent a wide range of agricultural, environmental, and other interests. USDA is allowing chimera abominations to the Hemp genome. They have approved the splicing of insect DNA aswell as viral DNA into the natural Hemp genome which for ever changes the genetics of the natural hemp plant through cross pollination. The USDA did this at the behest of its “stakeholders” which is totally a conflict of interest! Shame on you USDA you have forever destroyed the natural genome for ever! Congratulations you belong in prison with the rest of the biological terrorist farmers like Bill Gates!

i have killed over 600 slf and a lot of egg masses in our community garden in Brooklyn from Nov 14 to Nov. 22 2022.they have laid eggs in almost every tree that i can.i have pics of slf and egg masses.I even have one just being laid with mom still on top.we do not want to lose our community garden.it is a sanctuary to me and a lot of us.

As an Upstate New Yorker, I respectfully request that you don't sell our land to Bill Gates.
Please inform producers that they must report acreage after they plant their hemp not before. We can not take an “intended” acreage report.
What we really need is guidance on the FBI background check. The information is not clear.
Do we have to report plants disposed of because be of disease or infestation?
