The review of Cathay Pacific business class was very positive, praising the comfortable seats, quality of service, and delicious food. Overall, it sounds like a great experience.
Very good reveiw Anthony. Very informative but it appears that the cabin looked a bit tired and not what Cathy used to be like prior to the pandemic period. Still, at the price and for the flight time and what was provided, I think it was value for money.
Last week I took a flight from London to Hong Kong in the Airbus 900 in business class. I was impressed with plenty of spaces and the magnitude of seat adjustments. The food is good too! In a few days on my return journey I'll be flying back to London in Boeing 777 - 300er, hopefully it'll be as good!
I know CX is going through a recovery period and announcing a new business class product so I know the future is bright. Still one of the better Asian carriers and from my experience they have d a good selection of movies and content overall.
Thank you for your feedback. It's true that the cabin may have appeared a bit tired, but considering the price and what was provided, it was definitely value for money. Hopefully Cathy can improve the cabin experience in the future.
@@LarissaLima-eu9wi While I agree the cabin looks tired, I still feel like it's still a lot more of a competitive product than what Lufthansa, Swiss, and BA offer on their planes. Also, I would say that Cathay has one of the most consistent onboard products on their long haul fleet especially compared to Qatar, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, BA, Lufthansa, and Swiss. Emirates. When flying Emirates and Qatar its a luck of the draw in terms of which onboard product you will get. Cathay has a 1x2x1 business class product across its entire long haul fleet which is a level of consistency I respect in a global carrier.
Good and helpful review. Two minor points, first, linger on the menus slightly longer before cutting. Very happy to pause to read, but the pan down needed fast fingers to capture what was on the bottom! Second, I wasnt clear if the lounge shown was the first class section or business (you implied 1st). Understand why you'd use it, but it makes a proper understanding of the actual product received in business that touch more difficult if that's not what you'd experience in practice. Tendered to be helpful only. Enjoyed the video and agree that given the length of flight, it was good value.
We appreciate your understanding and are always looking for ways to improve our services. Your feedback will be taken into consideration for future improvements. Thank you for your support.
Apart from the seat being slightly outdated, the flight looks enjoyable. I will be on CX252 in December (maybe with the Aria suite by then?) and so I’m really excited. Thanks for the excellent review, I enjoyed watching! 😊

Nice clear, succinct review. I've been using Cathay business class since they re-opened after the pandemic . I chose them cos of the affordable fares although they've been creeping up in price of late. One of my favourite parts of the whole experience is the Pier Lounge in Hong Kong. I don't find the Cathay Staff that personable, in fact on a couple of legs, they've seemed a bit stressed/ surly, but I tend to always limit my interactions anyhow. I feel in that class that wifi should be complementary now, maybe that's to come. I travel b/w Tokyo and Manchester so the lounge on the return from Mcr isn't as good as your Heathrow experience as it's always crowded due to sharing with other airlines.
If you can afford business class airfare without sacrificing hotel accommodations, then I say go for it. But, if saving $3K on airfare allows you to upgrade to 5 star hotel accommodations, for a week or two, I say go for the hotel upgrade. 20 hours of comfort vs 14 days.
They are revamping these cabins/IFE systems later this year, so understandable with your comments. Interesting to hear you call it narrow, SQ has a very wide seat but very narrow footrest. I think compared to QSuite, this seat is narrow but compared to BA, SQ, Emirates--it's actually wider.

Very good video - concise summary of various points. Cathay Pacific are good - the business lounge at T3 is excellent (I've not been to First but will next week). Seat is ok. Food is not dine on demand as I recall. I agree FAs are pleasant but not particularly engaging. As for value it's so subjective - I guess nowadays post-Covid £3K is reasonable for 12 hours to HK and then ~4 hours to Singapore.
I flew this exact flight, even sat in 17k at the end of June. I paid £1,025! The reason was I started from Istanbul with BA. Total from there was £1,025. Fantastic price, fantastic flight.
Have to say the Cathay Pacific Lounge is the Best One World offering in T3, putting AA & BA to shame. Talking of shame the on board food is far, far better than VS. Thank You for yet another excellent review 👍👍
Thanks. The Cathay lounge was very good but not as good as the Virgin Clubhouse. The onboard food was good and the selection was a bit better than Virgin. But Virgin do lay place settings rather than rely on plastic trays.
I think the seat may already have been reupholstered. I thought the food was good, but odd to serve it on a plastic tray, rather than just laying the place setting.
Another interesting video, thank you. I would like some advice if that’s ok. I’m going back to the Philippines, either late 2024 or early part of 2025. Which airline gives the best Business Class for my trip. Regards Paul.

Nah mate, if the prices are similar, I would rather connect in Doha and fly with Qatar Airways. Cathay Pacific still has a long way to improve to bring back its pre-pandemic quality
The IFE on this aircraft was pretty old and sluggish. The next flight I took on a more modern A350 did perform better, but the selection of movies was a bit poor.
@@DoorsToAuto um... they have the widest selection of movies covering from west to east... the IFE system won several awards before it's even better than EK and QR ones imo.
Just about to fly cathay a330 bangkok-hkg then to hanoi business, then a month later fly home to Australia KUL-SYD malaysia airlines business, havent tried malaysia yet.
Let me know what you think of the review and the Cathay Pacific business class experience.

Cheaper the most TransAtlantic flights coming out of Atlanta Ga so yes that was looking like a good value

BA’s new Club seat is 21” compared to 20” on Cathay.

But why there is a big difference in fare LHR TO HKG ROUND TRIP COMPARED TO HKG TO LHR ROUND TRIP
The difference is 10k hkd

They recently announced their new aria suite, which looks good in their video.

For your information, there are 4 toilets in business class on the plane (B777A) you flew. 2 each sides

Hey can u help me is it easy to open wing view virgin a350 1000 I wanna see it when I fly tysm
The seat area seems as if it needs updating. Food seem okay but id say needs improving
