Miranda, your videos bring me SO much joy! This book haul is just wonderful. You've introduced me to so many amazing writers and sub-genres I never thought I would enjoy. Thank you!
Glad I am out today doing some shopping so that I can stop by the bookstore for more treasures. Thank you Miranda. You never fail to find something that sparks interest in me for books.
I do love your book haul videos ❤ I always find myself reaching for pen and paper to add to my list of new books to read and add to my own collection so thankyou again for all your recommendations 😊
A holiday! Lovely and good for you, Miranda. For my book club I just finished reading 'The Nightingale', by Kristin Hannah. Coincidentally The Nightingale also takes place within the WWII years. I liked it a lot. Fair warning: I SOBBED somewhere within the last 25% of the book. And, cried two other times.
Dear Miranda, a new uploading day but the same lovely and inspirational content❤ Thank you so much, there are some books you mentioned I will put on my wishlist. I was lucky to be able to watch your video today, in future I will have to wait until Fridays because I have very long days on Thursdays. Have a wonderful trip where ever you may be going... I am happy to find out more in your next video. Finally, have a lovely weekend together with your wonderful mother❤❤
Yay! I've been waiting for this video! 😊 I love your book hauls - I always find some new things for my TBR, and I did today too. That Outside In book looks absolutely beautiful. I think that will be a must-have for me. Enjoy your holiday!
Oh Miranda, I always leave your videos scribbling away recommendations! So many new treasures to discover. Sister Novelists just sounds fascinating! Enjoy your much deserved holiday!
I am also going to read Daphne Du Maurier's books in publishing order starting with "The loving spirit". This will be my first time reading a book by Du Maurier so I am excited.
So nice to have a new book haul ! I am currently reading all the books of Nancy Mitford and I must say they are hilarious, especially "Dont' tell Alfred" and "Highland flings" !
Your mention of the Imperial War Museum novels reminded me of reading Emma Smith’s wartime memoir of her time working cargo barges on the Grand Union Canal, Maiden’s Trip. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your lovely engaging bookish vlogs!
👏🏻 Wonderful , I’ve read almost all of Edith Wharton’s writings, and have a nice early collection of her books. I hail from the Berkshires ,have visited the Mount ,her home many times!
What a great video. You continue to introduce me to books that are not on my radar, and I appreciate that so much. Also, I love your bookshelves, and the fresh flowers are such a bonus because I rarely purchase flowers for myself. (I use that money for books instead.) I've subscribed and clicked to get notifications. 🙂 🌸 🥀
There’s a wonderful book called Letters of Note which has so many beautiful and interesting letters from lots of different people. I really enjoyed it.

Thank you for highlighting those Imperial War Museum wartime classics. Both my grandfather and my father were World War veterans, and I am always interested in reading books about the average person's experience during that time. Also, housing a museum dedicated to the history of 20th century warfare in a former lunatic asylum speaks volumes about the insanity of war. For an American point of view you might find "The Good War" by Studs Terkel to be of interest. The book is a series of interviews Mr. Terkel conducted with people who lived through World War II. Another good one from two women's perspective is Slacks and Calluses by Constance Bowman, which is an autobiographical account of two young schoolteachers who decided to use their summer vacation time to sign up to work on a B-24 production line in San Diego.
