Your last video opened our eyes to a lot of things and corrected some misconceptions. you smile and live not because you have all the time on your hands but because you have choosen to be deliberate about life, stay positive and make the best of any situation. you are an inspiration. love you very much
It is called a sea food boil and is served in a plastic bag . Seafood boils are a big thing in America … so you had a North American experience! Different culture , different presentation 😀One of the advantages of being abroad is that you can go on a culinary adventure… and expand your culinary repertoire
It’s polite and good manners to carry a small gift for your hosts… can be flowers, wine, fruit, something you have baked or things for the kids… normally get something they will appreciate and use. Wrap it, put it in nice packaging or gift bag.. I always avoid being the one always receiving… people in this society have so it’s just a token of appreciation of their hospitality.
It is always polite to bring something if someone invites you to their home for dinner. I recall a friend of mine had a loss in the family, I brought some food and she was very appreciative because her fridge was empty.
It's a kind gesture my dear sis. You go with something or when they come to you... You package something for them to show that they are welcomed in your home❤❤❤
I'm Nigerian and in my family, I observed how adults always go to visit people with bread or banana or any other gift item. Even my husband does the same, so I feel it's an Igbo culture, not sure. Or just something done out of courtesy.
Awww Nez, this was really nice. 🤗💌 God bless them for caring and sharing, with you all. 🙏🏼 May God replenish you and family, see how you cooked for everyone's enjoyment. 💯
It’s not a must but it’s nice to bring a hostess gift when being hosted. Some popular items are. Bottle of wine, a fruit platter, a desert or a nice smelling candle. Amy of the above. It doesn’t have to be elaborate 😊It’s just a little show of appreciation for being hosted
It's just a courtesy to go with something, especially if you are going with your family cuz that will be a lot of food they'll spend to entertain you all. So I just see it as little compensation and I do it happily. You just said that was your first meal of the day, after the guests had left. Curiosity.... You didn't eat with the guest? I don't eat sometimes too, though the rest of my family will eat with the guest. But I worry inside if it looks bad.
I always take something along, even while in Africa. So I received some guests two weeks ago and they brought a similar basket, though bigger.Watching your video made me laugh cuz I asked my visitors if I should empty the basket so they take it back! 😂😂😂 I ended up wrapping up their take-home bag in something else!😅
Pls next time you should let them know what you want and they will cook it for you the way you want it. Where we eat this kind of food in Gaithersburg Md they always use plate to serve us maybe Canada is different.
Neze please talk about the tragic passing of Access bank CEO Herbert Wigwe, his wife and son... You normally don't keep quiet on topics like this... Anyway, you have a reason for your silence.

Whenever I visit people, I always take something to that family. My mum always did, so I learnt from her

It’s good etiquette to take a gift when you are invited to someone home.
That should be sea food boils….it’s usually served like that 😊
Even here in Nigeria, I think it's also a culture, maybe depends on background but I grew up visiting our host with gifts
That white nylon rice and stew sweetness is on another level oh

You had a choice. You should have told them that you needed a plate to pour your food in and they should have given it to you.

How did you manage to eat the food 😢 it doesn’t look appealing 🥹
It's nice except if you like fried food. Many Nigerian foods don't look appealing too until you taste it.
