I'm always fascinated by hearing about other people's experience and I think it is a good way to check how I'm doing on my journey too 😄 I also consider competition alone one of the most, if not THE most, powerful reasons to keep at painting (and, hopefully, getting good along the way!)
Without watching the rest of the video, because I'll forget, if you water your paint so much it goes like 1:32, add a dot of dish soap somewhere, dip your brush into the dot, then mix it a bit with paints. it will break surface tension for really cheap. Test and trial it first, because too much stops it sticking properly to the model! Also, good video, with great advice!
