This song really helped me handle rejection (i know..get real). This prior coworker of mine was leading me along, I shot my shot, denied. I thought she was perfect. Everything I looked for in a girl. Got my hopes up and shot down. This song on repeat at the gym helped me realize you just cant have anyone and thats quite alright. Nothing you can do bout it.
If they're actually looking for someone and you're the best option in their scope, then there is no rejection. You can achieve 'anything' if you have fire within you. What's even more remarkable to me is that Peter Loeffler, the singer/guitarist of Chevelle, has that rather sweet accent when he sings and speaks. In addition of having that Chicago accent, it also has some lilting Celtic-tinge though it (I guess, hence his Irish middle name 'Doherty'). Ughhh. I absolutely love it! It's pretty evident when I was listening to this, 'Comfortable Liar,' 'Family System,' 'Vitamin R,' "Emotional Drought," and "Well Enough Alone." Am I the only one telling this whole story?
Heh heh heh. Talk about a Chicagoan hard rocker with such sexy accent! Pete became one my favorite musicians since my introduction to the band.
Unless one of his parents is from Ireland, he doesn't have any kind of Irish accent.lol singing involves different mouth and lip movements when pronouncing words. Lots of singers sound different when they sing in comparison to how they talk naturally

this video was shot in my home town of[ Norfolk Virginia] and i was lucky enough to be there that night and be literally right above them on the balcony where I could look straight down at them and was like 10 feet from them and the sound quality in the norva is fucking world class insane good and it was the best experience i had in many years and these guys are the cream of the crops, most under rated, ,,shitted on,,,, ,,,fucked over and truly robbed of their true glory and fame and especially money!!!....there record label literally robed them blind ...they made no money for all their work and albums ,,,,the only money they made or seen was from touring ...it took them 15 yrs. and many court battles to finally get what they were robbed of all them years and they will never get the true acknowledgment and praise they deserve!!

I'm 60 years young. I've been following Chevelle since I discovered them way back when they released "The Red". I'm a guitar player myself and they are one of my favorite bands ever. Still buy every new release. Great music is great music, I still have many of these classics in my Playlist.

My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I love you Darius, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life

Literally the most underrated and best rock band of my generation
I just wanted y'all to know that this song in its FLAC format on a high-watt decent 5.1 system will vibrate the house floors and walls. I bought y'alls albums and shirts, even though I guess I never needed to but I believe in supporting artists such as you. I know that maybe you got maybe .1% of what I ever spent, but I swear you guys and your studio engineers came up with some good fcuking sh1t for a generation that is only now just beginning to discover y'all.
I absolutely LOVE Chevelle. Hearing their music on a CD is awesome, sure, but in concert it was EPIC. So many artists these days sound like shit live, but no worries here. Well worth whatever you have to pay, wherever you have to drive, to see them on stage.

This song (amongst most of their songs) is straight aural ecstasy. Between the harmonious vocals, lyrical angst, melodic guitar riffs... perfectly complement one another. It's hauntingly beautiful and so intoxicating it elevates my soul. Not a day goes by without some Chevelle blowing out my speakers. Definitely going to the grave as one of my all time fav bands. Can't wait to experience them live for the first time in May! 🤘🏻🖤
