This is a very simple device and any Jeweler should be able to make one.... I made mine, But if you don't already have the other tools, this kit is a handy way to get everything you will need at one time.
WOW! THIS TUTE JUST BLEW ME AWAY!! I never knew of weaving like this,,and it looks so simple, and ELEGANT!! The end result is just magnificent! THANK YOU very much! I love the clamp design, and it gives me an idea on making my own maybe....Your video is quite well done! I am new to the art of weaving with wire, and hoping to learn as much as I can..THANK HEAVENS FOR YOU TUBE!!:))) Keep up the great work, hope to see you on your WLWsite soon!:)
As far as your comment regarding the tools in the kit, Cindy makes the tools that go into the kit. She has changed them several times as they needed to be adapted. I believe the early kits did come out with a tool that needed to be improved and she has done so. It is a popular kit and she developed a good and easy technique for others to follow.
@trishalmoorhead Hi Trisha! The artist that did this video for us makes several videos with different techniques and how to finish them. They don't allow links here but if you go to wholelottawhimsy and then to Media- Books&DVD page, then to DVDs you'll see about 6 of them from Cindy. ~ Tonya
The video is so awesome you really do a good job I wanted to be inspired so bad but I'm still on hold I feel like a hanger in the dark closet it's not even funny so what do I do now
Fantastic video, but it would be equally interesting to show how you would finish as there is so much ending. Is there anyway this could be shown? Thank you
Hi, I went to the whole lot ta whimsy .com but its going out of business. I tried to find this kit but can't find it. Is there somewhere else I can purchase it that you know of?
i have tried following you a few times and always come up with the same issue,,the weave is angled please tell me how you avoid this,,as i weave the entire package seems to drift to the right and the whole thing is angled right,,
For some reason I cannot post a link. If you go to wholelottawhimsy site and then to Tools: Wire Work & Shears, you'll be on the page with the kit. We also carry the DVDS (5) that take you through all the ins and outs of wire weaving and finishing. Those are found on the Media -Books & DVD page. ~ Tonya

On your wire holder (vice), it would be a little easier if you turned the bolts around and replaced the nuts with wingnuts.
because the wire has to come through the bottom. Its easier in this rig than a vice. I know I have tried to use one.
You can do the same thing with a bench vise and a crochet hook without spending the money. lol I figured it out.
Very nice and clear instructional video. Technically you are "braiding" not "weaving".
