Very wary of S'pore small caps stocks in our stockmarket. Most small caps don't have moats, are in very competitive industries & are basically technical plays (Speculative, Pump 'n Dump). By the time we see the price action & the momentum of rising prices, potentially the buyers from here on will be the greater fools, the bag holders. And don't forget small cap are small for a reason - it doesn't take a lot of liquidity to move up prices. On the other side of the coin, price collapse can be very devastating & price recovery isn't good. The risk isn't worth it. The fund management people as a rule can't buy unknown small caps stocks unless they are inclusive within an index of composite stocks. Usually, such stocks would have already been bought up before the new Index news hits the market.
