Layla and Spencer is healthy AF. She essentially made Spencer the best for Olivia
They had chemistry but it is not the same as what he has with Olivia. Layla and Spencer were built on physical attraction he never felt as safe and they weren’t built on a friendship hence why he didn’t confide and lean on her the way he does with Olivia. He learned things from this relationship but it isn’t as strong as his relationship with Olivia. They don’t have the physical and emotional connection he has with Olivia. The second go around was another way from him to suppress his feelings for Olivia which eventually came to surface and neither of them could run away from their feelings for each other. Layla went after him when she knew Olivia had feelings for him and she was in a relationship. However, it’s good because at least it was explored. It allowed him to truly be in touch with his feelings for Olivia once the time came. Even in the cabin scene when he was confiding his feelings with pops letters with Layla it was a perfect example of how he didn’t really receive the emotional support from Layla but in his conversation with Olivia he did and the montage from his pops about staying in a relationship for too long to not hurt other person was spot on. The only good thing was Layla exploring the physiological avenue to get Spencer to speak to a therapist but she was not his soulmate.
This is just your opinion but I don't agree. Him and Layla were built on physical attraction but you are forgetting that Spencer was good at reading people. He already knew she was lonely when they first met. He wanted her to be happy and for a while he was happy with her. I seen him confide in her many times despite all the issues they went through. He told Layla that she was one of the people that made him feel at home ( he did feel safe with her). I can admit that him and Olivia look good together but I don't think it's fair to say ONLY Olivia made him feel safe.
@@Pretty30715 but even Daniel himself said, when he did the scene when Spencer hugs Olivia in the kitchen and then he hugs her for too long? It clicked to him that Spencer felt safe with Olivia. Now just because we’re not using the term safe doesn’t mean we’re throwing Spayla’s chemistry out the window. He definitely had moments where he confided in Layla but half the time she would give him bad advice. One time it was when they were taking that walk and she told him to basically push his feelings away and focus on other things that could distract him. But it ended up making him crack. I bet your dollar Olivia would have told him the opposite. Another time was at the cabin about reading his dad’s letters. Layla didn’t think it was a good idea to read them because there was a possibility he wouldn’t get the answer he was looking for. It wasnt necessarily bad advice, but if she really knew Spencer, she would know that he needed that clarity. Olivia basically said you gotta find out. You’re strong enough to handle that shit. It’s like yea he confided in them both, but Olivia was just alittle better at reading him.
@@imeikbro9711 I honestly forgot all about this comment 😂 but I can understand why Layla wasn't really good at giving advice. She was an only child raising herself after her mom died and father left. She had depression and still does. She has to deal with her own issues first. Olivia is like Spencer. Always putting everyone else feelings before hers. For a while she wasn't dealing with her own addiction because she was busy saving the world. But she's getting better in season four though. The best advice that Layla gave to him was when she found his therapist and told him that it was more than just physical after getting shot.
Right cs he supposed to been with Olivia from the beginning but when Olivia thought they maybe sister and brother that threw the idea off and she told Layla she didn’t want him cs she thought he wanted Layla cs she kept coming around him and she rather see him with Layla even if hurt cs she’s a good person she even cared about Layla after he confessed he loved her
And yet Olivia slept with Asher while she was drunk when she knew he was with Layla

After seeing Greta with Michael, it’s really hard to see the chemistry between her and Daniel lol. They have some chemistry but not a lot. They don’t really seem as comfortable with each other as Greta and Michael .
