Hopefully with all of this amazing and intimate footage Evan will someday be appreciated as the great American songwriter that he is. He's the real deal, much like the people he idolize and whose songs he covers.
Bro I wish he'd look after himself more! I don't know if he knows how much he's loved..my parents took me to one of his gigs for my 14th birthday present, he signed my Tshirt and was so nice and polite. In the gig he played Neil Youngs Thrasher..I really wished those two had a collaboration because it would have been epic. You wrote this 8 years ago..Evan is still fantastic but looks ill to me..but I hope he has many more years as he's only 54 or something
The chords he works out in this song (and many others) are so unique. Like he spent years learning jazz theory and then did his darndest to forget everything he'd ever learnt.
Hey Rick . You should really take more drugs 'cause you can ignore me and I AIN'T GOING AWAY ." Time held me green and dying tho I sang in my chains like the sea
Apparently, patrick shamus knows evan. The guy changed his TH-cam channel name to Patrick Higgins, but..........there might be some more stuff on his youtube channel
MyYTMusic thanks bud, figured that already out. I can nearly play it exactly like him, just the bridge is still a miracle for me... of course I know the base chords, but I’m not quite sure what extra tones he’s playing :(
I am a huge Dando fan. I love How his chord selection just rings out of the acoustic in this video. However, lackluster vocal to say the least and he looks like a hobo who they won't let in the house. You only get so much dopamine in one lifetime and i you overload the circuits you disappear.
his guitar work is.......I hate this expression, underated. whew with that said ya I love the way it rings in certain spots. from his strumming to his surprising chord changes and vocal harmonies that just fit in. I can only play Dando in my self taught version that gives more of a bass version than his beautiful sounds that arise with just a single strum. also how the F did he tune and play his guitar out in the cold? I have no experience in playing in sub degree temperatures. what does he just down tune the crap out of his strings?
Those chords. So subtle, so tasteful.

I don't have words that adequately express how beautiful and poignant this is.
Car Button Cloth.....3 things that dont float in the bathtub. A theory that holds water
love this Ev
beautiful
These chords are not the ones from the sheet music
that was great.
There's just something about this lol
What's the story behind the stickers and pictures on his guitar? One looks like his wife?
the circle on is a Vietnam sticker. Good band who opened for them in.... like 2010?
