Lena is one of the smartest and most hard working people in metal today too. She speaks seven languages fluently, is a cover model, and also a professional dog trainer. She also is heavily featured in the work of Seas On the Moon.
Lena had a panic attack during this video shoot, and they decided to go with it. I've been to their show twice now, about a year apart, and Lena is one of the nicest and kindest people I've met. And so are the rest of the band.
So glad you reacted to this. I kept meaning to recommend it but sounds like a bunch of folks already did. I just love how vulnerable she showed in this. Nice reaction!! Totally agree with your Hermit comment!! And Vulnerability does take a ton of courage
"A light that shines today but fades tomorrow". This line HITS HARD. Because, even when you have the luck(?) to know a true deep love, you already know it's gonna end someday. As another song says: no amount of love will keep it around if we don't choose it. Loving someone is a decision not easy to make, and one to hold accountability to. It takes courage, indeed, and few people are truly able to have it nowadays. Sorry for venting here, but this song hits home. Another great reaction, as always! ❤
The band is from Moldova. Lead singer is Elena Cataraga ,she goes by Lena Scissorhands. She writes the lyrics, music is mostly composed by guitarist Vadim "Vidick" Ojog. Those 2 are the only ones left from when the band was formed in 2008. This song is their newest single , from their upcoming 6th album.
I have been low key interested in this band for quite some time, but never got to listen deeper. There’s just too much music around. But I stumbled upon this video when it came out, and it hit home a little bit too much. It also takes courage to show this level of vulnerability for an artist like her. My respect for this band and for Lena has grown a lot lately. Looking forward to their album release
This is one facet of her. The work she did with Seas On The Moon and Death Dealer Union are two completely other styles. Her cleans are as pure as Gwen Stefani. I've counted about 5-6 different 'voices' that she sings in.
She's featured with so many bands... "Free" and "Believe" with Vervain St. Project, "Bumblebee Cemetery" with Staple R, "Busy Doing Nothing" with Awake Again, "Listen To Your Heart" with ANOTHERKIND, "Voices" with OCEANS, "The Silent Ones" with Nest of Plagues... etc...
Brutal,Chunky goodness with a bit of grooviness to it. This was unique and different. I am really continuing to love finding these new bands. I hope you have a great holiday weekend Tommy.
It takes courage and it was worth all the pain I suffered when it ended after 27 years. 25 years were true love and it nearly destroyed me when it ended. But deep feelings are not having only nice times. I enjoy your thoughts, thank you for sharing them with us.
The tube almost made me miss this reaction! Glad you discovered Infected Rain and Lena. She is a powerhouse, with a very unique voice and exceptionally versatile. Hope you will look more from this band, they sure deserve much more love they got so far! Other titles have already been suggested in comments, but my vote goes to *Taphephobia (Singtrough Video)*
Other Lena suggestions: Seas On The Moon- The Regress. Bad Omens. Opium. The Rule Of 21. Another. Sanctuary. Death Dealer Union- Borderlines. The Vow Of Silence. The Integument. Ill Fated. Infected Rain- Serendipity. The Earth Mantra. Mold. Orphan Soul. Black Gold. Storm, (live from Devil's Dozen), which features only her clean vocals. Highly recommend.
13:48 Sorry man you had to go through that , I had a similar situation and it's not easy, thanks for opening up and share your story,,, I hope all gets better with years . The song was really good too as a New Infected Rain Fan I'll say , the band , the production Team behind the video and of course Lena amazing performance again I mean all Excellence
Mmm.. I wasn't really into the beginning harsh but she really drew me in with the vulnerability and softness in the end. I suppose both are necessary to tell the story. Very interesting style of music, was hard and groovy at times but not too over the top. It's really hard to put yourself out there, to show vulnerability. Interesting performance overall. ❤ and ✌️
She thought for some reason that she had ruined the shoot, after all of the work they had put in, plus it was filmed in a real morgue, and she thinks that energy probably affected her. This is barely scratching the surface of this beautiful human being. Looking forward to seeing your next reaction to her art.
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody This is 100% real. The lyrics and music are so heart touching...I'm sur Lena will also crying when she will sing this song live. It's just a pure masterpiece. The music and the fact that she is really crying totally destroyed me. Just pure genius. Music should be like that more often. Lena is a queen, an angel on this earth.
More of the best ass in metal! 😜🤘 I can't get enough of her since I finally started listening to them a few months ago. th-cam.com/play/PLLq2HbjEY_hq3Gv2X5o2Wk1_sDGfYfB9a.html She did a song with the Hungarian band Nest of Plagues - The Silent Ones. th-cam.com/video/tyNB9df0op0/w-d-xo.html
Great vid! Have you checked out Apocalypse by Septicflesh? Is is easily one of their best songs and I think you’ll love it. Thanks for making my day better!

Got Death Dealer Union's 'Initiation' the other day, and it is fantastic. I just discovered her last month, but instantly became a fan .
@@RussInCanada I hope you'll get to go to one of their shows sometime soon! I'll be going again next year.
@metalfan9000 Definitely going to watch for them in my area! Infected Rain would be perfect in The Rickshaw.

That`s some really good English for somebody from Moldova...especially in the slow part

I've watched a bunch of interviews with Lena, she's an absolute gem of a human being. Smart, too. She speaks 5 languages.

much love to friend! I really appreciate you being here.
Love is allowing someone to destroy you and trusting them not to.
Dude I love that!

THANK YOU!
I wish they made acoustic version just like Spiritbox made acoustic version for "Constance" and nobody can hold their tears for that song either
I think she was really crying. That or an Oscar performance.
She was. She had a panic attack during this shoot, and they went with it.
Ya I was like....this is real

such an amazing song!
When breaks down at the end of the video and starts crying, it's really hard to watch, it's not pleasant to see people in that emotional state

I still have to
Sounds like a mix of sonic syndicate and early linkin park until tje bridge. Then it gets interesting
