Stunning piece of furniture , you always frighten me , I say to screen , omg stop it looks good but then you add more colour and then more like red and gold and olive and the white wash and then I just say wow he did it again ! Awesome job and so inspiring ❤
It’s interesting lots of people say it upside down and many of the seat perfect I am pretty happy with it and comfortable with the way that I placed 😆🥴😊😊😊
Hi Jonathan, i Just want to say that i,m a big fan of your work, i,m a furniture painter too and you inspire me a lot , and i love your kind personality🤗. Much love from Holland ❣
I love the gold patina that you added last. The piece looks very old and quaint. For me, you never have to worry about the video being too long. I love watching and listening to you. It's on me to decide how I spend my time. If I need to pause the video because of an interruption, I will just do that. Likewise, if I'm trying to beat my own deadline, I can always forward to the end to see the outcome. That said, be sure that I will pick up the video again and watch with relish!
Probably the best use of 35 pounds! Honestly, this may be my all time favorite piece of yours. Between the moldings ( not too large!!), the colors and the gilding, it is absolutely stunning!
Ever since I recently discovered your channel, I am fascinated by your spectacular work, every project has brought something new and each has a character of its own. I love the old world charm you magnificently achieve, and the use of colors and combination of techniques are brought together in a magical way. I can never tire of your videos and hope there's still so much to see. I hope you will keep producing these wonderful videos, as they are so intriguing and full of ideas and wonderful tips and techniques. I spend hours glued in front of the screen watching in awe, and the time spent is so relaxing and inspiring.
Jonathan, you are my favorite furniture artist! You teach so well too! I like how you do this in steps and tell us what you are doing. You do different things and I like that. It is a stunning piece of art. You also know how to stage!! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!
Until you brought it up, I never thought of the cartouche being upside down! But upon a little studying and looking at the elements, I do agree with your friend. BUT! I do agree that it isn’t a deal breaker, and that a blind man riding by on a horse would never spot the difference! I love it!
Oh, wow, Jonathan! This piece is so gorgeous! First of all, don’t worry at all about being repetitive - beautiful techniques are worth repeating. Second, Mr. M is more observant than I am - I didn’t notice anything unusual about the placement of the cartouche and thought it looks lovely as is (and it’s not too large). Lastly, I just loved all your color choices for the piece - so stunning! Thank you for another awesome tutorial! 👏😊❤️
What a sweet little cabinet, I love the finished look, it's beautiful, you must be very happy with the outcome, thank you for your inspiration, until next time, take care
I don’t know why but I find your videos soothing. Someone once gave me a copy of Jacosta Innes’ book Paint Magic but any project I tried had to be thrown out. You’re brilliant. Yes, the center piece is upside down but bored or boring guests with a drink can be asked, “Is something wrong here?” and then you can safely exit.❤
Stunning, I love it, you are very clever. I do think the medallion is upside down but it looks amazing how it is and I dont think many would notice if you hadnt said anything.
Thank you very very much I did consider just switching the door around to the other side but I’m so happy with the outcome I think it really works well the way it is ❤️
I really love this piece. I agree the Cartouche looks great that way and it could go the other. I would never have thought of that soft blue or the salt wash. I just wonder why it would get to be that textured in normal life. Ok, maybe it wouldn't and you did it just because you wanted?? Yes, indeed, I love the layers on the molding it looks so natural. Thank you for showing us how this works.
Omgosh 😂. I didn’t think anything of the large piece until you said Mr. M said it was upside down and then that’s all I could see! Ultimately I think you are right that it works both ways.
I've heard you say more than once that you are not a trained artist. You have something that cannot be taught.....you have vision. That makes you a master artiste. Another beautiful piece of Painted Love ❤️ 😍
Fabulously gorgeous! Love love love the layers and wub! You are amazingly talented. Thank you so very much, your tutorials are fantastic and I learn so much from you.🥰
Hi mr Mendez, another great job love the cabinet I sent u an email with a pic of one I’ve done with your parakeets decoupaged sheet which I used , have a look nice piece thanks for sharing cheers
OMG, I Love the center molding! I can't wait to see the finished piece; I'm not cheating by moving to the end of the video. It's always enjoyable to watch as your pieces are being brought to life. Edit: Oh my goodness, Jonathan, this piece is wonderfully inspiring! The setting magically brought me back many hundreds of years where she was left in a corner of an old country manor. Enchanting! Big hug.
Thank you very much Jacqueline I really appreciate you taking the time to message me I’m so pleased that you enjoyed watching through to the end ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think my process starts with the shape of piece of furniture and then in this case I imagined the mouldings to recreate that just a little bit then I think about colours and then onwards two does it need distressing or a more plain finish I think it is a kind of process ❤️
Great color
Fabulous!

Thank you so much I’m so pleased you enjoyed watching this piece I really love to
It's a delicious piece, even returning for a 2nd watch. The Premium of the techniques used. Love the Gold with the color variance. Excellent
the taper at the bottom of the medallion balances the flare of the feet and the weight the added acanthus leaves at upper corners - it is perfect!
Lovely colors, lovely work. The piece has come back to life!
Thank you very much❤️😊
Oh my gosh…so well done!!!! Gives me goose bumps!!!!
