Just a tip, google maps works almost perfectly in Samoa, search most locations and street names and google maps works fine 👌👌

Aww that street you crossed in the city,at the lights. Gave me some crazy nightmares. My first day in Samoa and a guy started hustling me right on that corner and followed me across the streets to the carparks on the other side near the government building!!
Tell you I never expected it there...there was a few hustlers around town.
As for the cleanest..I'd have to say its close, if not the cleanest?!

@loasalesa4507 Yes, I should have. He was also very forceful and wouldn't take no for an answer. At first, I just thought he was being friendly, but when he came all the way to the car I was thinking that it was a bit too much. Basically, he put the lavalavas in our car through the open windows. Then he wanted a ridiculous price for them.
I saw him again another day..and I said " oh no, not you again" louder than I realised. He heard because he looked at me.. but he didn't try to hassle me again.
He actually caught me off guard. It was my first day in Samoa, and I just reached into the city. He must have spotted me a mile away!! I wasn't expecting to be hustled in Samoa, and definitely not that quick! Lol
It's okay. we handled it .. We bought the lavalavas, but not at the price he wanted. We paid around cost price. The only thing is we didn't need them,so we gave them away. They were smaller pieces, too. He tried to say he was fund-raising for a kindergarten!

Yes..I was thinking to myself isn't Vaimoso in Upolu, near the city?? Can't be the footprint..but I didn't remember the name of the footprint,so I wasn't sure.
I went to Savaii, but I didn't see the Footprint sadly. Saw other places though.
Not really the cleanest cos there are some areas in Samoa where people throw their rubbish e.g: the way to the wharf, the market in town, some small shops and a few places but most areas are clean.

thanks for the reply...not too sure,, have'nt been there for a few years now, as the menu has most likely changed, but you'd find jermaine serving & dancing on the front counter at the' chan mow complex store 'uptown ..as he loves his dancehall & island ragga beats ...

I did find that there was a Jamaican restaurant when I did my first search in 2014, I was totally surprised. Never went there, but we did drive past the building it was in then.
Still amazes me how a person from Jamaica or W.I. ends up all the way over the other side in the Sth Pacific!!
