I don't think USA's problem is the ability to shoot the 3; or ability to 'make shots' or shot-making ability. USA's achilles heel is their defense; defensive intensity. They give up waaaaaayyyy too many 3-pointers. They are giving up waaaaayyy too many easy mid-range jumpers & layups. They don't defend well against pick n' roll; and they don't play good help defense. The days are over that Team USA can simply roll out the ball & beat teams by 30. Today, each team, internationally, has 3 or 4 very good NBA players. They are used to playing against Lebron, Steph, KD, Embiid, Anthony Davis, etc. so the intimidation factor we once had over international competition is gone!!!! My prediction.
