Indian President Visits The Aapravasi Ghat And Intercontinental Slavery Museum

Yesterday, the President of the Republic of India, Shrimati Droupadi Murmu, visited two historic sites namely, the Aapravasi Ghat World Heritage Site and the Intercontinental Slavery Museum, in Port Louis.
The Indian President, subsequently, explored the exhibition on the experiences of indentured labourers, who mostly hailed from India, at the immigration depot, showcased in the Beekrumsing Ramlallah Interpretation Centre. Mrs Murmu also paid a floral tribute to the indentured labourers whose contributions have been instrumental in the development of Mauritius.
