Perfect job there , you got them pipes lovely and level , no need to go using a spirit level , just do it by eye , no messing around putting a fall on them pipes , cover it up quickly and don’t let anybody see it .
Great video. Our practices here include casting a 70 - 100mm concrete blinding under the inspection chambers and corners for levelling or lay a 50mm concrete pavement tile. We usually cast part of the pipes in concrete every few meters to keep them from moving since the rest of the house sits on raft foundation. Nevertheless these comments carry a higher installation cost.
Took me back to my early working years. I remember being covered in more clay and mud than this video shows. We didn’t see the test applied? I remember waiting for the building inspector to check the pressure check. Ah. Nostalgia.

4.25 excavator in the background has his bucket on back to front. Now i know we all do it, but for a you tube video????? Come on guys lmao. (Just kidding) Great vid. Im training my son (sigh) ill just send him this link.
@@thegamechanger2058 if i install a downstairs bathroom toilet into an outside chamber via a rest bend, can i 45 into the foul pipe before the chamber with another 110mm rest bend from a shower 50mm adaptor or does the shower need to join the chamber on its own invert.
Hi Gary, thanks for your feedback. Do you mean the rocker pipe running through the cavity wall? If so, we can't see any issue with this as the rocker pipe has been correctly installed. Please do drop us a line if you have any other questions - marketing.uk@wavin.com
90 deg rest bend? should be 92.5 deg... and on a 450mm base you can go 1200mm for rodable and upto 3000mm as long as you have a restricted entry cover but then it becomes non rodable. why am i watching this?
i was a civils designer and consultant for 20 years. we manufactured manholes, bends and junctions for waste and surface drainage...... still don't know why i watched it????
Hi there, we don't do any courses I'm afraid but we do have an online learning tool which may be of use. Check it out here: myportal.wavin.co.uk/e-learning/course
I wonder what could fall on their heads with those silly hat's on, bearing in mind they only have the footings installed, a frozen turd from a 747 perhaps ?

Great simple explanation

Great Job! well explained video! Great for Architects!
Really useful video. Thanks for sharing.

this is my job and i love it
9:41 complete other than removing the shingle out of the bottom of the chamber. I foresee a blockage on the horizon
Most ex footballers buy a pub. Tony hangs around building sites.😂
So helpful video guys - big thanks!
Check the building regs, a rocker pipe is for when the pipe is not lintelled over.
Tony Cottee, legend
Wait... why is Tony Cottee presenting a building tutorial?
Has Tony got a cscs card?

Why he did not mention the down slope of the pipe as it's not all level
Why are rat holes always half full of mud before concreting?
How do you set a pipe fall of a given gradient over a long distance between two fitted chambers?
Just put it in level like in the video .😎
hi mate like the work you do I do plumbing can you recommend a course for laying pips for the kind of work you do from drainage to gully thanks
Do modern houses not have vent pipes anymore?
Beautiful vid

Why run the kitchen foul out the house into a gully? Why not a rest bend on the inside under the floor
Daniel Friend the gully can be rodded which saves using another manhole

No mention of falls on the pipe?
That’s done away with , everything is level now , it’s much easier, putting a fall on pipes is a load of hassle.🥸
At no point did he talk about the gradient of the pipe in the foundation, but then this was shot 8 years ago!
Please tel me pipe drin slop farmula
What is tony cottee doing?
Bit of building by the look of it
The internals over cavity was wrong, 150 exposure before collar each side of cavity, according to specifications

You got a point man, but for the smooth and recommendable slope or gradient 92.5° would be too much
It appears according to Sammy Hollo, you watched it to learn something!
Maybe 😏

Tony Cottee, wtf
Shit, that really is tony cottee. Wtf is he doing on a building site??
Sales video for Wavin, NOT a useful instructional video as the title leads you to believe. Removal of YT dislike count really was a dumb move

mark twain because the guys that make the rules are fucking idiots.
Maybe the digger bucket could hit them??
