  • Kyle Busch is in the middle of one of the worst stretches in his NASCAR Hall of Fame career. According to the Silly Season rumor mill, the two-time champion might have help on the way with a new addition at Richard Childress Racing in 2025.
With NASCAR in the middle of the Olympic break, Formula 1 raced last week in Belgium and the latest winner continued F1's appeal this year to gain more NASCAR fans.
Plus, our By the Numbers segment dives into the performance of Chase Elliott this year and why he's been better than his HMS teammates William Byron and Kyle Larson, despite having fewer wins. And we take a look at the playoff bubble and see who is surging and who is fading as we head into the final four-race stretch of the season before the playoffs.

Don't forget that nascar is babysitting for Bubba.

I don't know why you have decided to start comparing NASCAR to F1, it seems to me like comparing NFL to NBA. Yes, both series run cars in the same way the others play with balls. It would be easy for F1 to have those close finishes by having a caution every few laps and start the race over.

Zippy was a big part of Stewart career so he should be the missing piece to kick start Kyle’s career again now I believe that RCR has another championship opportunity in their future!!

Zane Smith is getting much better as the season goes on. And to think people were ready to give up on him after the first 10 races lol

How come no one talks about CUP star Ryan Preece?🤷‍♀️

He’s the main story at SHR to me because he’s the only one without a ride for 2025.

Stap sounds like App, Verstappen lol
Was hoping Danny Lawrence would've moved to the cup side, they're almost unstoppable on the xfinity side and that's cause of Danny.
Clyde is doing exactly what a HMS driver should be doing, closing out races and getting them points.
Ross is overrated, he's done nothing I'm impressed with and hasn't done much if anything that makes me say "oh he's special" It's not there.

As an RCR fan, I wanted Rodney Childers as competition director but then realized he is not that good with the new car and wondering if Zipadelli is any better

I’d say Rodney is doing pretty well with the new car considering he’s probably the main reason Josh Berry is exceeding expectations this year.

He has 2 wins in 2 1/2 years and considering Kevin Harvick was his driver for 2 of those years

Common Kyle, I feel like you are poking the bear a little bit with this one. Chase has NO DNF's and 22 races. Kyle has 3 DNF's and only 21 races. Average finish is NOT a good indicator by itself. Just giving Larson a 13th place finish for Charlotte (27points with no stage points) brings him down very close to Chase and Larson lost a wheel on pit road after a full run that took away another likely high points day if not a win. Right now, anyone picking Elliot over Larson because of "avg finish" will lose their money, all fancy colorful charts not withstanding. Larson has 1/7 win ratio. Chase has a 1/22. 'Nuff said.

I wouldn’t bet on Elliott. I’m just impressed by his consistency and ability to avoid trouble and rebound when he’s been put in challenging situations. That’s the part reflected in the AFP. But I have no doubt Larson is the one with a better chance to win a race and title.

@@BeatingandBanging I figured. After last year, Chase needed a nice solid year. He could still win a few more, but so could Larson. With 14 races to go (I think), Larson would be on track to win 2 more. Chase could still get hot in the playoffs and surprise me, but it isn't in those numbers. Cheers.

F1 has rules and very little grey area unlike nascar its all grey area F1 doesn't care who it is if they break a rule they are punished unlike nascar they have their favorite drivers and teams and only punish the lower level drivers
