@@PhotoshopTrainingChannel I noticed that when you inpaint with the generative fill, sometimes edges of the selection are not blending perfectly with the image. Like... you can see some slight stiching on the edges of the selection. I'm using a layer mask and sometimes the smudge tool to get rid of that, but maybe there is a better way? Maybe that's a decent idea for a shorts video or dedicated tutorial? :)
I haven’t put this down since I started. It’s the most unbelievable thing I’ve ever seen. And my Photoshop Go-To Guys (Jesus and Terry White) add to the fun with their great tutorials. 👍🏻
one note (as of current) the generation only generated 1024x1024 pxl if your selection is larger than that it still generates for that resolution and then stretches. So for now limit the size for best quality.
Goodness! Another killer tip Jesús. I doubt that many people would have worked that angle out by themselves, but as Generative Fill creates a new layer, we could get the same effect using the layer mask after using Generative Fill.
Very well explained. I don’t know that I would have thought to use the quick mask mode with less than 100% brightness to generate pixels that blend more with the background. Good to know.
Hi Jesus. I can't get the pink overlay to show up over my image (whether I press Q or click on the Quick Mask icon in the toolbar). I dbl clicked on the icon & I have it set to Masked (vs selection). Is that correct? I've tried restarting Ps. Still no overlay when I activate "Q" (but the active layer gets the pink tint). I tried clicking on Blk as background color in color picker. Still nothing. Any suggestions? I wanted to try the lower opacity approach. Thx.
Very interesting take on generative fill. I was wondering if this can be used to correct colors but keep shape by somehow replacing just the red channel in some parts of the image with a generative fill of one color channel while being aware of the other channels. Is this possible somehow?
@Photoshop Training Channel Hi Jesus could you tell me if i had a foggy woodland scene and i wanted to place a deer in it but my own deer which i photographed and cut out would i get the same results using your method so it looks blended into the fog without touching the opacity ?? amazing vid by the way ✋😊🤚 update >>> i was able to place one of my own deers into the selection from quick mask at about 35% but it actually made the deer transparant like i could see through it and the trees behind , how would i make it solid but blended like your fish ???
Please tell me why generative fill with intensity level does not work in Beta Version 25.9. (Q quick mask and Shift+f5 fill). Using it, it was possible to draw a simple image, which was then filled with AI generation. This works in version 25.7, but does not work in Beta 25.9.
I would like to try this on my mom. She has severe joint pains, but she is on blood thinners! How can she take this without effecting her INR from changing?

Sometimes I change a costume on a dancer and the intensity is bright and fake looking....Ill give this a go and see if it looks more realistic. Thank you.
This technique was working perfectly well a few months ago, but now it's not working anymore for me... I absolutely don't know why... I'm working with the latest version of Photoshop... Now, when I make a selection under 100% with the quick mask mode, the generative fill is applied to my whole image (even when my selection is above 50%, with edges well visible). It's really strange... Anyone else has the same problem ?
Still not working, I still see the marching ants and yes I'm using the quick mask and 40% like in the video, the generated images are at full intensity! I would appreciate any help you could give me.
make sure your color picker is foreground gray and background black then command/delete on mac or control/backspace on windows to get red mask back..when you paint for the 40% you wont see the ants...im not techie and I struggled with this for at least an hour ...hope this helps! Have fun!
@@PhotoshopTrainingChannel yes for second example it makes sense. For the first one the inpainting result does not look like it should be. So a fish in blue water should be directly blue. Now it looks just like a stock photo library fish on top. This is a problem the normal txt2img also has got sometimes. Model definitely needs some improvement.
Dear Jesus, would this also work the other way around ? Like, i have cut out of a building which I like to be surrounded with water. The issue I have now with the two the building looks like pasted into the water, there's no real integration. What is your advice is here, what are the best steps to do so ?
I think this is an oversight by Adobe. But thankfully Jesus is always there to show us the way. Hopefully they will update the tool to show a different kind of way that where all the

well this looks more like a workaround to a bug in inpainting here?
No. The engineers meant for the mask intensity to affect the fill.
