I got my daughter the booster card c with the books and its her favorite thing to do. She enjoys it so much that I printed out a few lessons from level 2 today to see if she enjoys the whole curriculum...
This is the best review I've watched. My son completed 1st level but I felt like he really didn't gain confidence. For months I thought about re-doing level 1 just to build confidence before moving forward. Knowing what I learned from this video, I feel very confidant moving forward without holding him back a year. It's also a boost for a homeschool mom that it wasn't just me!

I made it half way through level one. My daughter didn’t struggle with it. She actually loved it and loves reading. But we had a lot… her father passed away, my grandmother had a fall and we had to leave town, we moved, etc… so we just didn’t finish the workbooks. We did a lot of supplemental things from like for the love of homeschooling and other places. So I wanted to know… should I finish book 1 and start the old book 2 that I already bought, or should I just start fresh on the new book 2? Bc I also have that in my cart and I’m fine ordering that. I don’t want to pressure my daughter to finish the old workbook for the sake of finishing it… if the concepts are covered in the new book 2 I’m happy to just purchase that and start fresh for her… I just don’t know where to find the info. And yours is the first informative video I saw. So thank you!!!!!! 🙏💙 sorry for the long message 😬 again, thank you for this video. It’s so helpful 💜 God bless you and your family. 💞

This new level 2 is really great and very well thought out! You can even take a look at the pdf version and maybe even do a couple of lessons with your daughter and see how she does! Also let me give you a tip for keeping the book together for a while year... Invest in a box of spirals from Amazon. At the bringing of the year remover the metal clamp binding and replaced it with a plastic spiral one. I use a jumbo paper clamp on the other end to keep pages together and the spiral twists in perfectly. Lasts all year

Honestly great decision on choosing the new edition 😍 it's so good. We are using it as review before we start level 3. And wow so good!!

Great review of the new level 2. My son will be in the new level 1 this year. I love how they made the Language Arts more comprehensive, super excited to use it. @@lifewithginab yes! We did that and it’s a little hard because she is sort of in between the 1st and 2nd grade. They recommend doing the booster cards to bridge the gap. I do think 2nd will be a little challenging. One of those tough decisions we have to make!

I wonder why they got rid of the cards. I purchased the old kinder because it was half off and I’m so glad they had the flash cards.
Yes some moms love the flash cards! Others not so much... I prefer the booster card option just makes it easier to keep track instead of the yellow cards. Basically the booster cards replace the yellow flash cards :)
We finished this level 2 (old version) and was great as usual with tgtb,
I cannot wait to start with the newer version.
But most likely we are going to jump to level 4, this way we can have the new version.

Hi love!! I know they are coming out with the new level 3 next year possibly in the summer! I'm doing their current level 3 now and I'm going to have a video very soon on my thoughts and hopes of what they will change for the new edition! Level 5 I believe they just released the new edition and it's actually are having a sale on them now I believe! Level 4 I'm not sure!

Are you hesitant now to have to go use the old edition of Lvl 3 after seeing how nice the updates are? It stinks the new lvl 3 won't be out until like July, 2023.
I'm still excited to start fresh but yeah the homeschool mom in me would prefer an updated version 😑 lol what we are actually doing right now is that I am doing the booster cards and readers and I've picked out some lessons of this new edition for us to do over the summer for review. So far I love this new edition so Much! I am so impressed!
We started using the Flashcards with my youngest daughter and she loves the new booster cards A!!! My older kids wouldn’t read the books and answer the questions so we had to find a new way of teaching reading and my youngest has picked up on it!!! We still pull the Flashcards out!!! We couldn’t use their spelling and the new way we could use I think!!! Idk till we try tho!!! I may go over the spelling activities with my older kids in the new level 2!!! I don’t have a kid with good spelling and I’m looking for different ways to help them!!! I’d like to see the letter tiles app be for more levels!!! I’ve made letter tiles for my kids to help them with spelling!!! I downloaded both editions for level K for my youngest!!! My youngest is going to be doing handwriting as she’s not there yet being 4!!! We are starting kindergarten early!!!

I am new to TGTB. My son is doing level 2 and it seems so easy that I worry that it will not be enough. I’ve seen old reviews saying the old level 2 was not good enough and their test scores were low?! I know this is one person, but does anyone supplement this level and if so with what?
I use explode the code, handwriting from the good and the beautiful and different spelling curriculum (180 days). Did you do the placement test to see if he is in the correct level?
@@lifewithginab I did take the placement tests but it said not to skip ahead in grade levels due to missing out on phonic rules so I did not. I just increased the difficulty of his reading books. He is already at level 5 for reading fluency.
@@ravenbird3014 oh wow that's amazing! Well you can get through it at a faster pace then! Maybe even do multiple lessons! You might have gifted learner!
@@lifewithginab That makes sense. We came from public school and they didn’t test for giftedness. His father and both aunts were gifted. I will try to sneak in extra lessons. I just can’t tell him. 🤣.
