    What a tool that is. Steelfixers must love these nowadays. Used to watch the use a single set of snips when I used to pour 300/400m3 slabs in Cambridge. God how times have changed.
    This guy knows his shit. 👌🏻

    Hey Roger probably is, ill dig it out of the lock up and see what model numbers on the side, hardly used maybe four site but big time saver.
    Great channel by the way👍

    The civil and RC trades are very slow to change. We still use plumb bobs to plump columns and string lines to line shutters, Because they work. I have been on so many jobs where they hire in tie guns only for the site management to complain about the amount we were using and the price and quickly off hired. But I have seen them used on desks because there are no cut ends to clean out. Steel fixing is the worst job in build imo😂. My back is hurting thinking about it.

    Amazing bit of kit, i can only imagine it was designed from technology of the crash in Roswell, New Mexico.

    Neat tool. I can see it being a real time saver if you are in the concrete trade. Novice question. Would plastic zip ties told rebar in place until the cement is poured? Maybe not for a commercial job but how about for my sidewalk???

    I'd like one and I have never tied rebar or poured concrete. It's like owning a cheese grater.

    Had one of those 20 years ago. The problem was rust mucked everything up and was unreliable. Also, spools of wire would rust quickly. Buy a box and let any moisture get in and it turned into a mess. But in right application, huge time (and back) saver.

    awesome... do they have a version with an extra long handle, so you don't need to bend over when doing floors?

    2k does seem a lot, but on a couple of raft foundation jobs it would pay for itself with the time saving and less back ache.

    We just keep on going, putting more people out of work so others can make lots of money. Been happening for years, seen it in my trade, Lithographer, thank god im retired now.

      Gerry Walker i got out of the print game, after murdoch proved his point, and then modern tech came in, i got off the machines and started a groundwork business, best choice i ever made.

      My Dad told me to go into the print back in the late sixties and at that time it looked liked the best job in town.
      I know what you mean about people being put out of work and Joe Bamford was told the same when he invented the back hoe which then became the JCB. You look at guys digging up the road with their lovely machines and I bet you won't find many who would rather be doing it with the pick and shovel.
      For sure there is a debate to be had about the distribution of wealth because it isn't right that the people who own the machines are able to produce the wealth and keep it all in tax havens. We were told in the sixties that North Sea Oil would make us all rich and by the year 2000 we would only have to work two days a week.

    • @ArthurDentZaphodBeeb
      @ArthurDentZaphodBeeb 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SkillBuilder Rodger, you're dead on about wealth distribution. Rich have become obscenely richer while average joe hasn't seen earnings increase in 40 years. And yet putzs blame immigrants for their troubles and not the banksters with billions stashed away in tax havens.

    These are great for radiant systems under slabs where stapling to foam is not an option for whatever reason.

    Not a fan. Notice it's not showing splice ties, would it get round 40mm or ties for links and columns

      Mission Dan
      We are an international channel and the video will be up for a long time so pricing is not something we can pin down. We have given details of the company and a quick search will tell you that, today in the U.K , it is just under £2,000

    • @missionDan
      @missionDan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well english channel with dutch subtitles. I eventually found it for sale in the uk for a crazy £2800... think i would buy the makita for £650 in contrast!

      @@SkillBuilder Hi Roger great machine, We purchased a Rawplug machine version two years ago at £950.00 Plus Vat. Key things we found with them for use was use the fig 8 tie and wrap and saddle on the outer grid and used the automatic machine in the central part, are machine only ties up to 20mm.
      cheers

    The steel fixers of today are not the sharpest tools in the box.

      Tony
      This is for much bigger jobs than the little jobs done by hand tools. They use these tools on massive projects where one machine does the work of ten men. You can see how fast it is.

      Only fool leaves his tools on site. Use your van as a tool box... or get a tool vault
