Stumbled onto this Chanel a few days ago, binged like 10 videos back to back to back & then bought Hunt for myself. I don’t know why I thought I could just jump into the game & start whooping ass like this dude! 😂

It has one of the sweatiest, low life, unemployed, cheating, smurfing, communities of any game. Yes it is fun. But I am afraid there is a constant player base of around 20000 every day. This people do not play any other game man. I wish you all the best and it will be hard. But community will kill the vibe for you
I play on an off at around 250 hours and i would say just have fun try not to push mmr and just enjoy yourself you need to have patience to enjoy this game rushing into things without knowing anything is gonna have you sitting in lobby more than playing so watch a few videos on the need to know things also i had a lot of fun just trying every weapon and unlocking the ammo for them
Best advice I can give after 300 hours is learn to use the cheap weapons as efficiently and effectively as possible, try new and what may seem stupid things (rushing someone with an axe is not a completely ineffective decision and works sometimes!) and learn from failure!

Getting around to my TH-cam feed, I remember the first clip. That was so nasty, The Third Son of The Third Son born in 1869 sporting a stache of 1895 showing Krag is business.
Krag having a slight higher rof and not losing bullets on reload vs 124 dmg was a nice trade off in my opinion. I undestand the buff, not unfair, but it took it's "uniquiness" in my humble opition. On a positive note, makes it a contender/choice for mosin meta we've been seem for a long time.

My problem with fog maps is that I always end up getting them whenever I take a sniper or a marksman. If they implemented some way for us to choose which time of day we wanted to play that would be cool. Albeit I do like having the lower chance of getting fog, thundershower, and the other fog whose name eludes me. I would like to see more serpent moon and night maps in general

I'm still partial to the Drilling and the Nitro but Krag is insane now. It was already great. Now it is just bananas good.
Regarding the trades happening less often back in the day: Trades are a "feature" by crytek. It has something to do with hit registration. there is a window of up to 800ms in which a player who is already dead in your game can still kill you. Apparently high ping players used to complain about their bullets despawning so this was introduced as a band aid solution. When they introduced it years ago they said the trade window is just a starting point and can be adjusted. For some reason they will only do this now with the engine upgrade and reduce the window. Sadly this just means the more extreme trades will happen less but the fundamental issue will persist. Bets case scenario it will be like desync where it happens way less now than it used to.
It should just not happen 🤷
Crytek loves saying "It's just a starting point, we can and will adjust it" when introducing limits like that. Did the same with the ping limit back a year or two. People were complaining about the amount of high-ping players, so they introduced the ping limit, setting it at 350 (I think?). Said that it's only the starting point for now and they'll listen to feedback and adjust it accordingly. People have been complaining ever since, especially so in the months after they introduced it, but Crytek just never adjusted it and seemingly forgot about it.
That's what they do, they give false promises to quell complaints. Let's hope along Hunt, they also relaunch their approach to game development and communication.
@@PrimusOnTH-cam I think the current ping limit is 225 and i have heard the new one will be 150 which is still way to high. And yeah i totally agree they will tell you they can adjust it, everyone asks for adjustments and they just don't do that. I honestly have no idea what's going on at crytek and why they don't do these seemingly simple improvements that would benefit their game. But then this is the company that released an update that broke everyone's graphics and took a week to fix. They could have just rolled it back. Which they recently did when a server "fix" ended up giving people and infinite bloodbond glitch. When its about money they act fast.
@@KungThulhu My favorite example of how convoluted the game's code must be is when they tried adjusting how long heavy rain lasts on Thundershower. This should be a matter of seconds, adjusting a variable from, for example, 240 seconds to 120. They somehow managed to COMPLETELY break rain, forcing them to remove it from the contract, which they did by forcing single boss only on us for like 2 weeks.
This game's code must be a complete mess, which is probably part of why their quality control is a complete joke. This recent disaster around Twitch Drops is just one of many examples. Matchmaking, MMR, Drops, DLC purchases and.. SOMEHOW, gaining 23k BB on server selection, all caused by server maintenance.
I'm gonna be honest, I'm extremely worried for the relaunch in August. Let's hope this is all happening because they're focusing all of their resources and staff on the big update, because if it's only half as bad as the last few weeks, the game's reputation is going to take an enormous hit and they'll fumble the biggest opportunity Hunt had so far.
@@PrimusOnTH-cam I have no hope left for the august update. As you said their code is terrible and every time they "fix" something something else just breaks. In their weekly update videos they haven't even addressed bugs so im afraid those issues will remain. I would be very happy if by some miracle the upgrade fixes those problems but considering the sheer amount of issues we had just this month im not hopeful. Also im afraid the new graphics will make the game run badly and their idea of optimization seems to be "just use upscalers" of which they are providing a super outdated version that is terrible for competitive games. So right now i just hope the game wont perform terribly. That's about all the hope i have for their upgrade.

I told the person that I felt very honored to be called a hacker lol it was just pure luck and it was a magical moment to me

Right when I saw the buffs to this thing I knew it would be the best gun in the game. Just showing yet again game devs don't play their own game. All they had to do was buff how much ammo you can hold on you and it would have been fine but giving it more damage made all the other long guns useless other than maybe the Sparks...

Every time I play hunt my son has to sit in my lap and grab the controller. Proximity chat hears a 11 month old cooing.
Krag is prolly 2nd or 3rd best behind mosin and possibly lebel. They 1 tap 125 hp hunters out to 55 meters vs 40 meters that krag stops at.
Lebel cannot compare to Krag, too slow

The good thing about Hunt is: there are nearly no waeapons that are OP. You are skilled or you´re not. Period.
Long ammo in general is much more powerful, but that will change with bullet drop

Players hate the fog/ash/rain because if you bring anything with a marksman or sniper scope it's RNG if you can actually use your primary weapon. It's utterly ridiculous you can randomly join a match and not be able to do anything but DC or extract because visibility is Spiderman PS1
No one asked for this and it removed the niche the krag had whilst simultaneously making the berthier completely redundant. What a change lmao

@@OurFatherGrey because the berthier’s niche was that it was one of the cheaper repeating long ammo rifles- like the krag- but unlike the krag it did more than 124 so it could bodytap, and the price of that was a gun that can waste a lot of ammo and be quite inconvenient if you don’t use it correctly. Now the krag is just a straight upgrade to it, the only difference being it doesn’t have spitzer, but if you’re buying spitzer you’re not gonna have an issue just upgrading to a mosin or lebel

@@The_Real_Alpharius I saw a berthier 1/3 games at least and used it religiously myself. It’s super rewarding if you learn it, like the martini Henry, but not used as much because of its downsides, and now it’s just not worth using at all over the krag

for every 1000 bullets i shoot at a wall, i sometimes get a lucky hit and it'll end up on youtube 😂 good headphones makes a huge difference.
