I loved this movie. I think the fact that the black clover society getting duped by Elijah shows that he was in fact super human, they under estimated him because for so long he lost his will to do anything. But then David reenters him life along with Kevin (The hoard). That got things to pop off and for him to start trying to escape.
Think about the Orderly that try to test Elijah with the flash light, for a decade he had done nothing. He was kept in a catatonic state with medication, then he stopped taking it and started his plan. They underestimated him.
Also Staple's plan to trick them into believing they were special was a trial. That's why they only gave her 3 days to make it work, they usually (assume) kill whomever they deem a threat. It was a failure and thats why they came in to kill everyone. And that's why Staple used Casey to bring Kevin back to the light, if they had shot The Beast it wouldn't have stopped him.

So many reviewers do Not seem to get this movie.
I LOVED it. It was so refreshing. Sad? Yes. Very sad? Also yes. But in a world where we have superhero movie after superhero movie and there's no risk of the superheroes dying or any real risk to them, this was an unexpected ending.
I honestly walked into the movie thinking that either David would be victorious and defeat the Beast or that Glass would help the Beast kill David. I did Not see all of them dying.
Anyways, good analysis and you are correct. They did kill the previous supers they found. It's not really so much an assumption as she basically said it without saying it.

I feel like unbreakable this movie will be looked at differently in 10 years .I think people are so conditioned to like superhero movies like infinty war they don't know what to make of this.
anthony cheesman I’m with you. I feel that people focus to much on trivial stuff like plot holes and miss entire concepts that a movie might suggest because of it.

Like, I walked into this movie thinking one of two endings was going to happen: that the "twist" would be that Ellie was a super herself and help David defeat the Beast........or that Glass would help the Beast kill David.
I did NOT see that Sarah was a villain (in her own way) and all of them dying. And even though I was sad, especially when Kevin regained the light and wanted to stay in it, and of course Joseph weeping over his dead father's body hit me hard, I was completely fascinated and kind of happy. Not happy about the deaths, but happy that I could walk into a superhero movie and still be surprised.
Honestly, I thought that Joseph and Casey might've gained powers, triggered after watching their loved ones die. But that would've required another movie. 😁
@@georgefog.411 nah, he's gone. Otherwise his son wouldn't have been as torn up about it. There's a difference between having superhuman strength and being invincible. Besides, that would ruin the whole point of this trilogy and disappoint me so much.
I Like that the deaths were final. I like that there's risks for "superheroes" in this world......that they aren't infallible and can die/make mistakes. The whole point of these films is to be a twist on the superhero genre. It wouldn't be a twist if it did the same exact thing.
Also, I don't know that I agree with your last statement. I think he knew full well exactly what was going on and how it would play out. This is why he uploaded and livestreamed it. He knew they weren't going to make it and so made sure everything was documented and sent to people he knew he could trust. He isn't the Mastermind for nothing. He's incredibly, superhumanly smart.
I wouldn't mind seeing a movie on the after effect, though. More people with "human/flawed" superpowers. I hope M. Night revisits this world with new characters.

I think this movie symbolism was huge. I though M. Night was trying to say that if people stopped oppressing other people, then those people would find their true gifts. Just my thoughts.

Colonel Arkham by the time they killed them or before I watched glass. before I watched the move I knew beast would die while under the non powered entities . I didn't expect David to get murdered as well but I expected him to die by water . duh because he's a real superhero and that was his weakness . but halfway through the movie when she said she only had 3 days to convince them that threw some flags that at least one was going to die . how did I know David is super human statues? when they get captured Elly says to dun you can escape but a lot of officers are going to get hurt meaning their bullets were useless against him . but they had the leds for beast snap him out of it and kill him if need be .

Wasn't there an easter egg in Unbreakable, a comic book reference to an anti superhero organisation?
Well the took precautions with the beast and David so they weren’t worried about them getting out and she didn’t see Mr. Glass as too much of a threat since he was heavily sedated to her knowledge. So extra security for Glass himself wasn’t something she felt necessary. Everything landed so well for me. Shyamalan completed floored me! I loved this!
James McAvoy’s performance as The Beast was perfection
I hated the way they killed off David Dunn it didn’t do his character justice at all

It's crystal clear that the Adjustment Bureau for Superheroes is more concerned with making sure that everyone at their various eating parties are seated and well fed in an extremely orderly fashion than they appear to be concerned with their main objective of keeping tabs on all the potentially dangerous superheroes.

I watched this movie the day after it came out in theaters and I really loved it. I was skeptical about it because I thought it would be a let down, especially because I was already seeing bad reviews before I was going to see it, but I think I’d probably buy it when it’s released on DVD. Of course, it’s far from perfect, there were some things I didn’t like, but I really want to see it again because I liked the movie as a whole that much.
We are so conditioned to think that superhero movies will go and end a certain way.
Like, I walked into this movie thinking one of two endings was going to happen: that the "twist" would be that Ellie was a super herself and help David defeat the Beast........or that Glass would help the Beast kill David.
I did NOT see that Sarah was a villain (in her own way) and all of them dying. And even though I was sad, especially when Kevin regained the light and wanted to stay in it, and of course Joseph weeping over his dead father's body hit me hard, I was completely fascinated and kind of happy. Not happy about the deaths, but happy that I could walk into a superhero movie and still be surprised.

I mean, I love Marvel and DC movies, but there's no real stake. Well, there might be now, in Endgame. But before, Superheroes never died, or if they did, they came back. So having a movie say, nope.... they're Really dead, was definitely interesting and different. And I quite enjoyed that.

For those who say that people will think the video was fake, here is a few points to remember.
It was live streamed during it and people will find it suspicious if there was no record of the time space it took place at the asylum.
There was witnesses who saw it in action and once they see that it went viral, they will speak up more since they will find it odd that staple tried to keep them silent.
Once its on the internet, you best believe there will always be someone who has the video either downloaded on the computer or saved to a disk.
And Im sure David son will do his best to spread the info as much as possible. Also the cheerleaders saw the horde and the overseer in action and will probaby speak up. This plan to cover it will work if no one was ever around it
I've been waiting for this!! I love hearing your opinions on movies. Especially this one because I liked it but a lot of people didn't. It did leave me feeling bittersweet at the end.

About the thing you said about the lack of guards, it could be considered as a strategy to convince them they dont have any powers and dont need extra security measures since they are just "normal people".

No way, ESPECIALLY if they try to remove the videos. On the internet, the more you tried to hide something, the more people will look into it, and the bigger it’ll get.
@@coolkid_ but reality is that the internet can and does forget. Server breakdown, server shutdown, dead links, torrents with 0 seeders, etc etc. Especially now that we have more information we can ever process.
It wasn't about getting normal people to believe it. It was about getting other superhumans to see and know that they're not crazy and there are others out there like themselves.
Jin0 maybe if the videos were mostly left up and alone, sure. But as soon as it seems like people are hiding something by removing videos there’s no way, people hate being lied to or silenced.
I believe the twist fit perfectly because mr. Glass knew all along who she was and played that to his advantage. His character was highly intelligent and he knew he would not make it out alive. His advantage was not speaking on what he knew but staying silent. By him escaping his room unseen left her curious and wanting to place more cameras which overall gave him the ability to hack the system at the right time. Her confidence in her abilities to manipulate their mind left her vulnerable to his attack. Brilliant. The end is the beginning of something greater.

I've watched unbreakable hundred's of times 'cause I loved it that much... I really wanted there to be a continuation but I found peace in the thought that it may never happen... that peace still exists until now! I haven't seen glass yet and I probably won't see it, because the characters deserve much better than what happened to them!

His 'twist' is understandable. They got full of themselves, they never expected glass to be as smart as he was.

Great video. I also liked the concept of shadow organization. We'll done pointing out that there were minimal to no security to guard the supers/mutants/metahumans. For the other twists, MEH!

For me Unbreakable was kinda slow and was alright. I loved Split and thought James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy did a great job together and the characters really compliment each other. Glass was pretty good and Elijah was really interesting as the mastermind. But David got done dirty and would have been much more interesting to see Kevin go with Casey. Elijah should have been the only one to die !
M. Night is known for explicitly duping people with twists and surprises. The main heroes dying definitely leads to small residents wanting to discover their abilities

My favorite was always Unbreakable because I loved the cast and story but DAMN SPLIT was amazing!!! And I was so mad Glass wasn't as good as the first 2. I liked the secret society aspect of the story but there was something missing in the story in general
