- In today's vlog we head to Universal Studios Hollywood for Halloween Horror Nights 2021! We start the day with a little tour around the park and a ride on Jurassic World! Then as night falls, it's time to get spooky! We were able to get through all 6 haunted houses. Bride of Frankenstein Lives, Halloween 4, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist, Pandora's Box & Hill House. We hope you enjoyed hanging out at HHN Hollywood us! I think he is just used to all these scares. Since he goes to busch gardens howl o scream and universal studios orlando HHN a lot
That’s also why I hate conga lines through the houses you ether get all the scares or none of the scares like Tim did here
Tim and Jenn I think next time you're in southern California you should try and make Knott's berry farm part of your visit especially if its around Halloween time. Theres more rides for Jackson to enjoy during the day and to me Knotts scary farm is better layed out than Universal studios.

“I’m getting older. I can’t handle a two foot long hot dog like I used to.” 😂 I’m not sure anyone can handle a two foot hotdog without feeling sick. I applaud the effort though 🤣
I used to ''one man army" (a.k.a. eating a two footer by myself) these at the Hot Dog Hall of Fame, but when Hagrid opened, it led for me to take it easy with those things since the ride gave me the drive to lose weight.

I love Tim's lexicon of fright. There's "That can"t be good" "Oh My" and "Oh No", but my favorite is when he goes "Jeez Louise". Anybody catch ant other of his exclamations? LOL

Tim's reaction on the Jurassic world ride was mine as a kid 😂 My family forced me on it first thing even though they know I hated drop rides and I spent the rest of the day shivering and miserable, too afraid to go on any other scary rides.
Don't force anyone on rides! Especially ones that ruin your shoes lol
When your hotdog comes with its own carrying case it's serious business.
🎬🎥As a *Home Vlog* idea, can you show us Jenn's reactions when she is editing a video? Because when it is just Tim on these trips, we wish Jenn's reactions. This one would have been awesome to see her reactions, but I understand why she was not with you on this trip. The Buddy would not liked at all after seeing his reaction with *Frankenstein* from the last video. Other than that, keep the videos coming from Southern California. 🙏🏼 and 💭 , Keep Safe and Keep Well.
I love watching these videos to get a feel for the event without actually going. I would be waaaaay to scared! That purge area looked especially terrifying 👻
I've seen a coyote trotting down the middle of my So Cal street, so it could have been a coyote. I've also seen roadrunners, so there's definitely some cartoon nonsense happening around here.
I saw my first roadrunner at my dad's in Arizona last year...needless to say, it wasn't at all what I thought it would look like. (and it didn't meep meep either..... ) I think i truly was expecting it to look like the cartoon. lolol

Next time make sure to plan for Scary Farm! Their new maze will so crazy cool! Sadly, Horror Nights was disappointing this year. The scenic team and the actors at Knott’s have been killing it!
Right? I can’t wait to go back to Knotts which is why I have to keep my Disney job so that I can go to Knotts scary farm. Lol! Have you been to Queen Mary’s haunt? I absolutely love those two places more then Disneyland

Knott’s scary farm is definitely the way to go for Halloween time at an amusement park. Universal here isn’t nearly as good as universal studios Orlando.

I got to go for the first time in 2019 and I agree with everything you mentioned. Black, blank walls, and lots of static figures. The park is unique and completely different from florida with the layout. At one point I caught a little case of Vertigo on the escalator and I'm not afraid of heights at all. They did not have the terror tram, but that allowed for a couple more houses from what we were told. That walk to the backlot will not be missed by me if they never bring it back lol, but the scarezone in the tunnel was fun. Great video.
There's like too many walking through the maze at the same time, so you can see what's going on in front of you, long before you get there yourself. But the Terror Tram was great that you get to walk through some of the movie sets! ❤️ And, the neon place was cool!
They used to let people through in groups but not anymore (for throughput)

You would think with all the out of work actors in the area they could just jam pack those houses. It was fun to actually get to go through the houses with Tim though since we don't get to do that in Orlando.
Pandora’s Box was by far our favorite maze this year! So much fun going through it. We really enjoyed the bright colors and use of neon lights. Something different from just your normal black and dark mazes.

TIM WAS MORE SCARED ABOUT GETTING WET THAN SCARES IN THE HOUSES!
I’ve been to Hollywood’s HHN every year from 2012-2021, in the past when you had criticized HHN Hollywood I disagreed. Took my first trip to Orlando for HHN 30 this year and yeah now I see where you’re coming from. Orlando >>> Hollywood
And to think this was arguably the worst year for HHN in Orlando because of all the actors being behind the clear plastic. Completely ruined the immersion and took away any chance of jump scares because you'd know exactly where everyone would be.
Couldn’t disagree more. I went to HHN Orlando for the first time this year, but never again.
1. I don’t know if it was due to Covid, but in addition to plex in front of every actor, all of the dialog was prerecorded. The actors could have been Animatronic figures because they had to do the same moves every time to match the audio track. Not scary.
2. the “conga line” of people going thru each maze was nonstop. There was no chance to be surprised.
3. Related to that the mazes were LOADED with attendants telling you to move along, which also didn’t allow you to get a chance to be scared.
4. Who laid out the lines? There were three mazes all together but you had to walk thru a huge queue to get to a maze entrance, then hike all the way back “out” just go back “in” for the next maze. Even Knotts knows to link the mazes together so where one ended was right where the next one began.
Sorry Orlando. Hollywood does it better.

I was watching old festival of the holidays videos from last year because I’m going next month and OMG Jackson was so little 🥺 how has he grown up so much so fast??
I hope next years HHN hollywood event is much better, but still happy we got the event this year! I miss it already!!
Texas chainsaw was one of my favorites for this year, but you can definitely tell they scaled it down this year cause of Covid and probably a smaller budget since we didn’t get an event last year. I’m sure next year will be much better.

I am surprised that they allow you to film inside the houses in Hollywood, and you can’t in Orlando. Also, I think that hot dog would’ve made me sick 🤮
Looked like a conga line scenario for all the houses due to the crowds. It has become such an issue at HHN USH.

I went beginning of September. I guess you’ll be paying more if you go right at Halloween weekend.
That included the Front-of-the-Line Pass as well as tickets.

Been waiting for this video! My Mom (her first HHN ever) and I had so much fun this year at HHN Hollywood! Bride and Hill House were our favorites.

Walking Dead used to be a permanent house but I think it was removed permanently right before they started the construction of Secret life of pets. Would be great if they returned it as a permanent attraction again!!

Yes. Coyotes show up everywhere, Tim. We have them running through the middle of San Francisco.
wow their houses are very crowed i feel like, something i liked about orlando’s was they sort of sectioned off the people going in, sure it made the lines longer but it made the actual house more enjoyable

I feel like you could absolutely get away with not having express at Hollywood, but it feels almost impossible to imagine a successful night at HHN in Orlando without one!
Absolutely! We went on the 29th and did every maze (minus walking dead 🤷♂️) plus Jurassic world and forbidden journey without express! Longest wait was funnily enough for Jurassic World, about 70-80 minutes. Takes having a game plan and checking wait times all night but it can all be done in one day.
@@thevekomakid omg I wish!! We went in 2018 no express in Orlando, stranger things was 3 hours, and every other house was an hour plus. We did three houses that year, and never went without express agin 🥲
The night I went this year exorcist and haunting of hill house were over 2 hours, terror tram, Halloween 4 and Texas chainsaw were over an hour and bride was 45 I wished I had express

The Medusa's head in the Pandora's Box house... I think it was even more creepy because it kept going in and out of focus.
Your a very hard critic with our California parks .. I’ve never been to Orlando fl but I could only imagine the theme parks are bigger and better but we make due with what we have
It's just a sad fact that HHN Hollywood does not get the budget or creative freedom that HHN Orlando gets. If you go to both events, you can see the difference. Just look at the facades for Hill House west and east. A better comparison would be Knott's and HHN Orlando.

That is so crazy, last time I was at universal where you saw the coyote I saw one too! My family did not believe me cause why would there be on there it’s not too safe, but I’ve been validated thank you lol.
When Tim realized the Exorcist maze was actually that bad 😂. This whole event was just re used mazes and the fact that John Murdy picked that one is sad
Murdy didn't pick the exorcist. He didn't he even want it in the first place, the universal upper heads picked it when murdy was on furlough and they didn't even tell him so he just rolled with it sadly

I was planning on doing the RIP tour for horror nights this year for my birthday. My boyfriend’s cousin told me we should try knott’s scary farm instead. I’m so glad I did. I paid what I would have paid for our RIP tour alone and got a hotel room at the knotts hotel plus a t shirt along with the spooky boo-fet, event admission, and unlimited fast pass. And the mazes were great!! You guys have to try it next year :)
Forgot to mention, a breakfast buffet for the next morning was included in that package too! It was a great deal.

Glad I wasn't the only one disappointed with the Exorcist house at the start. I have a friend who's a horror actress in a horror walkthrough attraction in a British seaside town and their most rookie Reagan outshines the Reagan's in this house.

The walking dead attraction is no longer a year round attraction. They only brought it back for the scare season.

This was an amazing look at how Hollywood does HHN. I have to say I think Universal Orlando wins for Halloween though.
This is was one of their bad years though. Other years HHN was amazing the scare zones were awesome
The Terror Tram looked fun. And I liked Pandora's Box. The rest was too scary for me.
there were scarezones actually, 2 in the upper lot by the entrance, and 1 after the brides maze, also go to HHN in 2022, its gonna be wayyy better!

I’ve seen other comments suggesting this but I also want to recommend Knotts Berry Farm. Especially around Halloween time. Scary Farm is just the ultimate halloween experience. Highly recommend.

It's all timing in the mazes .... The sound is on a track so distance yourself from others is how I got the best scares in any mazes
