- Time to check this yard to see if we can change them from double brood chamber to single brood chamber. The universal rule of beekeeping applies. You might have a plan, but the bees will tell you when they are ready!
Ok i have watched them all and i will try it thanks
Great good luck.
What breed of bee you use? Thanks for sharing 🐝🐝

The hive you were looking at around minute 8-9... why do you think they were ready to swarm? Do you think you were late adding the 2nd box?
Quite likely and also it was almost all foundation so they had to draw the comb first before they could reduce pressure down below....but sometimes they just do what they want!!!!
Ah, I hadn't considered the need to draw comb impacting swarming. That makes sense. Thanks for the reply!
@@paulrkrueger Thanks for watching and interacting!
What are the wooden frames you use? Thanks for the videos very helpful 👍
Which ones?
I did not see any Drone brood in your hives. The natural balance is one frame per hive. Drones seem to keep the hive happier Your bees seem to be a nice bee and they area would benefit from having nicer bee I am sure bees ? Enjoyed your videos
They have drone brood alright but most is in the lower brood chamber. Thanks for watching and your comments.
Why would you want to go to single ?
You will have to watch a few more of my videos for a full explanation of the advantages (and disadvantages) of single rather than double brood chambers. If done right you make more honey, they are easier to manage, mite treatments are more effective; all without increasing swarming.
