As one commenter said below, the Greek word entos means 'inside', 'in' , or 'within'. This is the primary meaning according to both Strong and Thayer. The fact that most modern translations, such as the ESV, use the secondary meaning, "in the midst of" or "near", does not change the simple truth that Jesus spoke. If 49 men believe a falsehood and one man does not, that falsehood does not become the truth because of the greater number of believers. And no, the NKJV does not use "in the midst of", as Steve said. It says "is within you." When Pilate asked Jesus if he was the king the people looked for, Jesus replied, "My kingdom is not of this world..." In another place he said, "God is Spirit." God's kingdom is a spiritual kingdom. It is an ever-present reality, as God , who is omnipresent Spirit, is THE ever present reality. The Kingdom of God, as an ever-present spiritual reality, was in the Pharisees too, as Jesus said. They just chose not to be aware of its presence, of God's Presence, in them.
Because they see Christ as their king and follow Christ? People who are outside of the kingdom don’t do that. All the people who follow Christ are his kingdom on earth.
1Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Reading the context of the above verse tells us why God judged the nation Israel for their continual disobedience and unbelief. This was the holy nation over whom God ruled as King by His amazing power that delivered them time and time again with mighty works. But Israel desired an earthly king to rule them and so their hope of the prophecied coming of Messiah became a misplaced hope - even causing them to reject Jesus when He came working the works of God among them in the power of God as a testimony against those that rejected Him, that He would judge them and take away their nation and give it to another. So how is it that even as Steve says truly about the spiritual rule of Christ in the earth, he doesn't believe that our "ticket to heaven" is OUR blessed hope of eternal life is enough either? Do we not have a NT example of Christ's power in the destruction of Jerusalem to believe that He is able to raise up and tear down nations from His heavenly throne? Isn't that WHY we pray for the will of God to be done on earth as it is in heaven? Dispensational futurism rose up only a couple of hundred years ago and its end times imaginations spread rapidly developing several cults in the process as well as its false hope of Zionism. Which alone ought to warn Christians something is amiss in how we ought to embrace the gospel of the kingdom of God & Christ who is in heaven - where He rules forever and ever in this age that likewise never ends. Eph_1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (see v 1:15-23) Zec_4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
5:01 steves mother was there. Its interesting he didnt recommend this church. But he definitely doesnt know of a church in the bay area/santa cruz region
As much as I respect Steve Gregg, he missed the most important component of Kingdom. The Kingdom is actually within you. The Greek word, Entos, [G1787] does mean “inside” Lk 17:21. That’s what the Primitive Church understood. They were Joint Heirs and empowered with all Authority. Mark 16: 15-18. An unstoppable Kingdom Gospel Blob. Beware of the Blob! I saw it this summer for the first time since I was a kid on TH-cam with my grandkids. So cool. Literally. Blessing y’all.
Not to be argumentative, but I don't think that's what He meant, nor do I think that is the most important component of the Kingdom. The most important component of the Kingdom is the "fellowship of the mystery" (Ephesians 3:9) that God wants all men to see, but wasn't revealed when Jesus spoke of, and taught on the Kingdom. It's the part of the mystery that was never revealed until it was revealed to Paul that makes it all make perfect sense. Jesus was talking to Jews. They are promised an earthly kingdom on land. They are not going to just stand by and watch the kingdom come, or appear. They will be actively involved in setting up and establishing it. It will be within them. But that is not for the Body of Christ Church. It's for Israel. It's Israel's promised inheritance. We have a different inheritance, which only Paul teaches on in NT Scriptures.
“to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Colossians 1:27 KJV The King is verily in his kingdom for what is the kingdom of God if not his spirit within his loyal subjects.
@@bugsocsollie1694I disagree, there is a progression of the kingdom from being in the midst of that crooked and adulterous generation to being within the disciples on the day of Pentecost and finally spreading and consuming the gentiles, there is no separate inheritance no one can sunder what God has brought together and made one in Christ.
@@lemnisgate8809 but we haven't yet been made one in Christ. Israel is still blinded as to who their Messiah is. Romans 11:25. We are not made one in Christ until at least when Israel gets their new covenant.
Yes, the most misunderstood subject in the Word of God So simple. . . . Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Romans 14:17 17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Yes have definitely learned a lot from Steve through the years, challenging me to change my point of views on different doctrinal subjects. It's hard for me to see that he still holds to the Trinity doctrine which is confusion and extra biblical. No Apostle ever taught or preached the language we use today like hypostatic unión, encarnation, double nature, God man, God the son, 3 in 1, Three who's 1 what, 100% God 100% man etc etc. Anyways, Peace and blessings to Steve and his team
the vocabulary of "trinity" or "God man"or 3 in 1 etc is secondary to the fact those words are used to _describe_ how Jesus referred to Himself... and it is very important to know that Jesus is God and point blank referred to Himself in multiple ways as being God, from calling Himself the one who will be riding on the clouds to referring to Himself as ἐγώ εἰμι Ego Eimi multiple times, that is the name of God in the OT, specifically the name that God gave Moses in the burning bush (Exodus 3:14) to multiple other references, but most important in John 8:24 Jesus says if you do not believe that He is Ἐγώ εἰμι , you will die in your sin. In John 12:41, John tells us that Isaiah saw JESUS in Isaiah 6.. The entire reason Jesus was executed was for "making Himself EQUAL with God" (John 10:33) Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. (Matt 26:64-65) Jesus was claiming to be GOD who comes on the clouds (Dan 7:13, Psalm 110:1 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And He declared unto them, you are saying ἐγώ εἰμi And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.(Luke 22:70-71) Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” Jesus said, “Ἐγώ εἰμι . And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.” Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “What further need do we have of witnesses? You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?” (Mark 14:61-64) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? (John 14:9) Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am Ἐγώ εἰμι. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. (John 8:56-59) time to learn about Jesus! "...... LEARN OF ME......." Matt 11:29

@@manny4fe1 wow manny... you *_accuse_* me of adding to his word without correcting a single verse cited? You want to refute Jesus is God without addressing a single verse of how He calls Himself Ego Eimi [the VERB name God uses to identify Himself "I AM that I AM" ("yahweh")] across dozens of passages from Genesis 17:1, 26:24, 31:13, 46:3, Exodus 3:6, 3:14, 7:5. throughout all the prophets, the entire New testament. ..to Rev 22:16? and you won't explain how Jesus was NOT God when referring to Himself in that way? do then agree with the Sanhedrin's execution of Jesus for such a "blasphemy" as applying those verses to Himself? Are you incapable of seeing Jesus' quote of Isaiah 43:10 in John 13:19, explaining that He tells you that He says these thing so you will UNDERSTAND that He is the EGO EIMI?/ What about Jesus being worshiped as κύριε ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ·ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν ἐθνῶν .The Lord God Almighty King of Nations *_through whom all things were created_* (Rev 4:8, 4;11, Rev 15:3, Rev 19:16, Isaiah 55:4 Col 1:16, Heb 2:10, John 1:3) Or how about Jesus repeatedly referring to Himself as "the FIRST" exactly God's reference to Himself in Is 44:6, Is 41:4, Is 48:12, Rev 1:7, Rev 2:8, etc.. You do not have to believe that Jesus is who He says He is, cares of this life and lust of the flesh draw many people from the faith... most people do not come to believe in Jesus, they have NOT passed from death to life, nor are they born again and consequently they can not see the Kingdom of God and mercifully He has told us the fate of them who refuse to recognize Him as the " κύριε ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ·ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν ἐθνῶν The Lord God Almighty King of Nations " "those that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." (Luke 19:27) because if yo do not believe Jesus is the Ego Eimi you will die in your sin! (John 8:24) I recommend to you to go back in humility and repent, today if you will hear His voice, harden not your heart! Look up every verse I have cited because as Jesus told Isaiah: I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. (Isaiah 45:23) and Paul confirmed that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil 2:10-11) *_you ARE going to recognize Him as GOD by bowing, the ONLY question is will you do it before you enter His KINGDOM or the Lake of Fire?_*
@@inTruthbyGrace Jesus is Lord to the Glory of God the Father, Jesus has a God and Father. When you read the scriptures remove with God's help your trinitarian lens and I guarantee you will not come up with a supposedly triune God. Your denying his sole humanity in believing he has a double nature, the promised Messiah was to be of human decent, no more and no less, anything else like a hybrid person would of have disqualified him of being our substitute and redeemer. The trinitarian formula is a deception, it is a Anti christ spirit. They went as far as adding and altering scripture to affirm a lie, like 1John 5;7. God loves you and I'm not doubting your salvation experience, God is gracious that even in your error and ignorance he shows you mercy through his Son, eventually his Holy Spirit will lead you and guide you into all truth. For clearly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendants of Abraham. Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brothers so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted. - Hebrews 2:16-18 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. 1 John 4:1-3 NAS God bless brother

It’s always shocking to see people deny this, especially with such bad reasoning.
99.9% of churches do not teach Jesus' Gospel of the Kingdom of God. They teach Paul's atonement theology of Jesus dying for our sin on the cross. If you ask a typical Christian what is the Gospel, they will give you Paul' gospel but not Jesus' Gospel.
They are the same Gospel. Jesus came to bring the Kingdom and told Nicodemus how to enter it. Unless a man is born of God, he cannot see the kingdom.
So how can kingdom people be differentiated from those outside if it is not a spiritual kingdom? Help me!

“to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

So simple. . . .

The entire reason Jesus was executed was for "making Himself EQUAL with God" (John 10:33)
Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. (Matt 26:64-65)
Jesus was claiming to be GOD who comes on the clouds (Dan 7:13, Psalm 110:1
Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And He declared unto them, you are saying ἐγώ εἰμi
And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.(Luke 22:70-71)
Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”
Jesus said, “Ἐγώ εἰμι . And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “What further need do we have of witnesses? You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?” (Mark 14:61-64)
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? (John 14:9)
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
(John 8:56-59)
time to learn about Jesus!

Are you incapable of seeing Jesus' quote of Isaiah 43:10 in John 13:19, explaining that He tells you that He says these thing so you will UNDERSTAND that He is the EGO EIMI?/
What about Jesus being worshiped as κύριε ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ·ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν ἐθνῶν .The Lord God Almighty King of Nations *_through whom all things were created_* (Rev 4:8, 4;11, Rev 15:3, Rev 19:16, Isaiah 55:4 Col 1:16, Heb 2:10, John 1:3)
Or how about Jesus repeatedly referring to Himself as "the FIRST" exactly God's reference to Himself in Is 44:6, Is 41:4, Is 48:12, Rev 1:7, Rev 2:8, etc..
You do not have to believe that Jesus is who He says He is, cares of this life and lust of the flesh draw many people from the faith... most people do not come to believe in Jesus, they have NOT passed from death to life, nor are they born again and consequently they can not see the Kingdom of God and mercifully He has told us the fate of them who refuse to recognize Him as the
" κύριε ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ·ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν ἐθνῶν The Lord God Almighty King of Nations "
"those that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." (Luke 19:27)
because if yo do not believe Jesus is the Ego Eimi you will die in your sin! (John 8:24)
I recommend to you to go back in humility and repent, today if you will hear His voice, harden not your heart! Look up every verse I have cited
because as Jesus told Isaiah:
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. (Isaiah 45:23) and Paul confirmed
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil 2:10-11)
*_you ARE going to recognize Him as GOD by bowing, the ONLY question is will you do it before you enter His KINGDOM or the Lake of Fire?_*
- Hebrews 2:16-18
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.

@@manny4fe1the NT couldn’t be more clear about Jesus being God. You are very deceived about that, which is a shame. Christs, who has no human father, father is God and Christ himself is God. That is what the NT teaches. The scriptures are so clear about this. Christ was killed by the jewish authorities for blasphemy because he equated himself with God.
But unfortunately, churches do not realize that Paul taught about the Kingdom (Acts 28:20)
They are the same Gospel. Jesus came to bring the Kingdom and told Nicodemus how to enter it. Unless a man is born of God, he cannot see the kingdom. Paul continued the message "to the Jew first," and then was called to bring the same message to Gentiles. The majority of the Church is oblivious to this message.
