So that's where my 70 dollar license fee goes to putting in fish. Because the bi monthly stocks in Los Angeles county are gone, and they just decided we don't like catfish at all in la county. Hey CA DFG, we all love the Sierra, but we like to fish near home too.
Thanks for ruining this cherished spot!! The campgrounds are packed and overflowing . Been going there since 1986 now the sheriff’s are there nearly every day due to the “classy” groups.
Ruining a spot that's published on a weekly stocking report weekly and has been for decades? And, a put-and-take stream? And, a spot that's heavily publicized by local tourism groups to keep economies going? Hilarious. This is one of the most well-known tourist creeks in California.
@@TeamPautzke you guys just dont get it.. These are not well advertised here in our state. Just because they listed it on cdfw website does not mean its wwll known. Most people dont even have a clue these gems exist until you spot burners came along.
gloomysmokes707 true story....but with so many people living here now there’s not a spot that isn’t over ran over fished and over used. It’s still beautiful but nothing like it was. It’s really the people’s fault for just not doing what they should and be respectful to each other and clean up after themselves. Pretty easy stuff.....at least you’d think. I just came back from there today, water is low and slow but the bite is still there. CnR 15, dew rainbows, couple brown but mostly brookies with the best measuring 8 inches!
I've been fishing Lee Vining since 1985, and EVERY fisherman in Southern California knows about these "secret" spots. I don't know what these guys are sniveling about, it's not THEIR river. But now they'll blame THEIR failure to catch fish on other fishermen who "ruin" their favorite stream. I guess they think the other 35 off million residents of the state should all fish some bluegill stocked pond at the local park. "Entitled fishing fools" like this is what's destroying the sport in California.
The guy at the beginning gets all hyped up like it’s his first time fishing 😂 I mean I get hyped up but not like that. But great fishing 👌
That same guy catches 15-pound steelhead and 30-pound salmon. He's like us - he enjoys all fishing.
What kind of bobber is that?
I wouldn’t say they are big fish, but the current is running, although slow water this year 2021.
Can you swim where you guys were fishing in the beginning?
It's legal - but freezing!

Great question. They all go into small park lakes that get no pressure whatsoever.
My favorite trout creek Lee vining. Be up there next week.
Fish the aqueduct in the Antelope Valley, west of I-14. Just don't eat them.
I feel like every video u say "we just rolled up to the spot"
We did!
These bozo's are definitely from California
Frank,
Actually they aren't. But we sure thank you for watching. Fans like you are priceless!

That’s because stocked trout eat dog food and the guide actually took the time to fish with flies a new presentation
