Back when i was a youngster in the 70's, I had the Paul Stanley halloween costume for the school parade. I really felt i was a total badass!!! I was maybe 8 yrs old. 🤟😎🤟

When i made my Destroyer costume back in '95-'96 i actually put Velcro in back, front & one on the side for multiple reasons 1) easy of putting it on 2) snugness & 3) i had no clue what i was doing because i had no idea how to do it, just seemed right.
It's also funny you mentioned going through pics, thats exactly what i did to TRY & get my costume as close as possible! lol

It seems his Rock and Roll Over armor appeared to be larger and a much better fit. His original Destroyer armor looked too small on him.

Correct! By the time RAROver came to be the collars and back parts were larger. Larger collars broadened the shoulders. Then the biceps needed to be reseamed as they started coming apart on the front vertical seams. Several changes happened there. :)
