This crossover made me think, how would an actual full Castlevania game made by Dead Cells devs would be like? Obviously, this will never happen, but I imagine it would've been fantastic.
I know my builds and mutations I chose are questionable, but I'm prolonging these fights on purpose.
The Dracula dialogue changes if you eqiup one of the Castlevania characters cosutmes. In this video I use Hector's costume.

Wild that we can now say one of the best Castlevania Dracula boss fights isn't even in an official Castlevania game now. That shit is dope as hell.
May not be an official One but I sure loved it
Hollow Knight's tribute (which I didn't realize was one, til I got here in Dead Cells) is also a good one.

Loved that second phase twist ;) But i really liked the move set of Dracula in first phase. Good attacks, that were punishing but fair. Damn that bats dmg :)

Gonna love how you play like Alucard/Belmonts to keep the tradition.
Cause playing as Beheaded is just L+Ratio+Shield parry+ Crit sounds+30% more damage to bleed + 3 seconds fight + GIT GUD

The best part is You can Wear any Of the Belmont outfits and Use Alucards Sword And Shield Set. I had a lot. A cat and bats
Wow, I had no idea you can hit the little projectiles in the Death fight. I was always trying to dodge through them and kept getting fucked
I absolutely LOVED the additional attack moves for Dracula. And the animation is just gorgeous! All the bosses are so well executed! Beautiful!
Excellent DLC in terms of value, content and just the sheer quality of the presentation.
No wasted moves. You're very impressive.
Watch the first fight again, and you will see that it is the darned cat handling the blind spots.

I was hoping you would do this one too. Amazing job, I love that you use Alucard and Hector's skins for the showcase.
dracs grab attack is so scary, especially since it can one shot from like 80%, especially right after the bat attack
From when I first played dead cells I thought an actual long play narrative story driven take on the genre from these devs would be fantastic considering how well the devs understand tight controls, pacing stages/adding platforming elements and scaling their monster and boss difficulties correctly with player levels/weapons(later soul levels and some weapons excluded just the basic core playthru and first few souls are very tight)
I can only hope if konami would tap a third party to make an honest effort at breathing new life into castlevania it would be these guys. Here is hoping that could be a reality since they trusted them with the crossover
Never played much of Dead Cells but the Return of Castlevania has brought me back to a world of endless pain.
10/10 would recommend!

During first phase of Dracula fight, I thought "wait, isn't this just Grimm? If so then this is an ass whooping for him.." Was getting cocky until i got demolished 12 seconds after final phase started
This means that The Beheaded actually scales up to both Death and Dracula. which is quite insane to be honest
or pun purpose : Daniel (Beheaded) survived another day xd
The damage you did to Death makes it feel like an actual Castlevania game.

Is it just me or did Dracula's first form fight very similar to Order of Ecclesia? Though, he's missing a move or two from that game like the shadow wolves leaping out of his cloak.
he is almost exactly his fight from there. he even got the colored afterimages when teleporting to tell which move he will perform next. the attention to detail is insane.

if you get hit by the scythe attacks 6 times he performs this move. so, avoid those attacks.

Im wondering, Gellot, on first impressions, or while practicing the fight, did you ever got gottem by the instakill? if you know you know
Also, i like to think Dracula dialogue changing depending on the skin are a confirmation he is legit senile, specially with the Death skins since they are the most "its obviously not Death", yet he still confuses you with them.
In defense of Dracula, Death just refuses to have a consistent design so as far as he knows, that's how Death looks like now.

Dang I can’t even do phase 1 on bc 1, the bats just kill me so quickly
i just roll away and duck whenever hes in the center, still manages to kill me with that bat attack.
@@empty_nam yeah that attack is so bull, coz you don’t know if he going to do another attack or that and you get clipped so easily by so many bats, it might be the most bull move in the game, this game expect pure perfection, one single mistake and boom 50min down the drain, I love dead cells but I’ll never love it or enjoy it like other rouges.

@@tacofitness1876 no even in boss cell one, get grabbed by drulca in phase 1 and die even tho you have 75% of you health or roll just a little too far and get clipped by all the bats, tell me that is not unfair, the game always expects perfection no matter the cell because one mistake or panic and your lost everything, biggest point, no I frames (invincible frame) so get combined by anything and boom all health gone it only get more extreme the high cell you go

@@barutoth88 Perhaps you were using Foresight or something like that? Getting hit with foresight active still counts as a hit even if it prevents the damage
@@jawknee4088 Its too long ago 😅 I think Foresight wasnt in the game at that moment. :) Well i guess flawless Dracula will take a good amount of tries anyway.

As a sI should add castlevania content may not be there for the first few runs since those also serve as a tutorial. You dont need to finish the game, just play a few times normally. I think 3 times is enough?
Then you will be able to find richter in the game's first map

1st phase of dracula fight is very reminiscent of nightmare king grim in hollow knight
Because Dracula inspired Grimm from Hollow Knight....Dracula came like a few decades before HK even existed.
It’s not bad. But we need Castlevania to come back fully. This is just a “meh” to me.
