One of the guitarists - Dean Lamb - is also a really funny guy and has a great youtube channel.
To be fair to the band they're all hilarious - makes their concerts just that extra bit more entertaining on top of them absolutely dominating musically
Archspire takes tech death to a new level. It's revolutionary. Dean Lamb, one of the guitarists in this video, has a TH-cam channel with a lot of great content.

Yup. I'm a metalhead. Archspire is my favorite Technical death metal band. They are just to amazing.

I’ve seen this band live 5 times and it’s even better live!
"How many strings do they have?" That's actually a complicated question; Dean Lamb plays an 8 string, while Tobi Morelli plays a seven string. Not sure if just Tobi tunes down or if Dean tunes up as well so there's less of a problem with string tension or the 7 string pickups being less than ideal for the even lower bass notes.
There is a drum play through of "Lucid Collective Somnambulation" posted 6 years ago by Spencer Prewett for DRUM! Magazine, right after they released their first label album. "Human Murmuration" is off their follow up album that was released about three years ago now.
There is also a live, drum cam video from five years ago of Spencer playing "Rapid Elemental Dissolve" posted by sickdrummermagazine, which is off their self-released album from 2011. Despite it now being totally unavailable (they actually sold out of it right before "The Lucid Collective", their album from 2014, was released. I saw that tour when they only had a handful of the it left) they still tend to play this song live.

If you're looking for other Canadian tech death bands to react to, I'd recommend:
Beyond Creation - Omnipresent Perception ( th-cam.com/video/GRK_M1vJXfQ/w-d-xo.html ) They were touring with Archspire for that tour I mentioned earlier back in 2014... They've also toured with them a bunch of times since.
First Fragment - Le Serment de Tsion ( th-cam.com/video/h2m_hJczeoQ/w-d-xo.html ) This band has also toured with Archspire a few times and features Beyond Creations' former bassist (who is in both videos... He's in a lot of bands; I even opened for his other band, Augury, back in the early 2000's a few times... Still the best bassist I've ever seen live.)
Since I mentioned Augury, I might as well list them too... Another amazing tech death band from Montreal with a very unique sound. I'd recommend Augury - Illusive Golden Age ( th-cam.com/video/IuD8xo6LdnU/w-d-xo.html )
Cryptopsy - Phobophile ( th-cam.com/video/dbkT4WoGalk/w-d-xo.html ) This is off the 1997 album "None So Vile"; that album and this song have since been recognized as a death metal classic. They are one of the bands known for starting the whole Canadian tech death scene.

Actually, Dean and Tobi are both in standard tuning for their respective instruments (sometimes Dean goes into drop E). Dean's 8 string just makes things a little easier with octave doubling stuff, or playing really cool, super low tuned riffs while Tobi is soloing, as showcased in this video. But, other times, if they're playing songs that are in B, they'll both play the riff on their 7th strings ("Remote Tumor Seeker" is a good example of this.)
Gotta love how he's not only tapping, but tapping with multiple fingers, while his fretting hand is still going nuts.
Absolutely check out a drum playthrough! Spencer is a beast.

I first saw this band having never heard of them, and it was an incredible experience. I was going with my pal to see a deathcore band called Despised Icon in Manchester a couple of years ago. These lads were supporting. Stood wide eyed through their set, they totally blew me away. Everything was amazing, and the vocalist was super nice when I went to buy merch after as well!

Guys my favourite archspire song is calamus will animate, there is a karaoke version that the vocalist Oli does and it really showcase his skill, see if you can read it as quick as he speaks

You should go through the whole band, they all have playthroughs for different songs. Including a karaoke style video version of their song calamus will animate with the vocalist. The sad part is the video was released before the album so they fast forward through the solo in that version
