Thanks for the video. The difference is less than I expected. The MLA-30 doesn't work as well on lower frequencies, so I have a long-wire I can switch in remotely as well. Overall very happy with my MLA30 for the price.
In order to get top performance out of the MLA 30+ you need to do a few modifications. The most important is to replace the very thin coax that it came with and put a BNC connector on it. Also you need to replace the wire loop with a copper tube. Their are videos on youtube on how to do both
I've spent enough time testing cheap antenna solutions to know the difference between a OK Ant and a great performing Ant. The MLA's performance was not consistent between 0-30MHz like the Wellbrook.
Your results compare with mine. I am curious how you find the MLA on LW. I have the MLA 30 and the 30+ and both are completely deaf under 500khz. Thanks!
I honestly don't do much LW because of modern devices causing interference , I've found that no matter how I tweak the gain and attenuator i can't find a balance. For me everything under 9Mhz is much weaker than my Wellbrook loop, also I have a old Sony AN-1 vertical that overall beats the MLA-30+.
Thanks for clearing up questions about antennas for me.

@@billhennessy5118 i got out of this hobby quite a while ago but maybe simmering else will find and read this info thx.
If you have about $300 to spend on an antenna, buy the Wellbrook. If you don't, and I don't, buy the MLA30+ ($50).

The MLA30 and 30+ (which I have) are both useless on LW. I have a W6LVP loop and it is 10 times better on LW. 73s from Ireland

Please tell me what computer and monitor you use that allows you to touch the screen to change the frequency or station. Thanks.
It's just a Windows tablet.
what is the program you have running below SDRuno that automatically sync's with the frequency you have tuned, then displays the station info?
The program is called CSVUB which is used in combination with virtual serial Port emulator (VSPE) for station tracking and information.
