@@MartinOwsAlb with a voltmeter check if there is power to the bulb . If not , check the switch which is activated when opening and closing the glovebox . Than the fuse (less likely since you said it stoped workig after changing the air filter )

inspect the light bulb first

This is left hand drive. If its right hand drive the filter should be the other way around
