The team received distressing news about the cow's deteriorating health, prompting an urgent intervention. The situation was complex; not only did we need to assess the health of the Rhino cow, but her vulnerable calf was also at risk in the presence of predators. 🦁🌿
After safely darting the duo from a helicopter, our skilled team swiftly moved the calf to the mother's side. The clock was ticking as we performed essential health checks, discovering the cow was losing weight and needed immediate attention.
🩸 Blood tests revealed critical information, and we're relieved to share that they came back normal. 📊 With a targeted deworming regimen and a boost of vitamins, our veterinary heroes worked tirelessly to restore the cow's health.
The true challenge came when deciding the perfect moment to wake up the cow and release the calf. Timing was crucial to ensure they trotted off together safely. 🕰️ We stuck by the pair until the very last second, making a quick escape as the mother woke up.
