    Just though I'd share a funny story...
    Last year I went to see these guys open for protest the hero, saw Martin standing at the bar, so I went over and started chatting to him.
    Told him I was enjoying the guitar videos they were posting etc.
    And he just casually slipped in "Oh ya, btw I'm playing drums tonight"
    I legitimately thought he was joking, but sure enough, he got on stage and killed it!
    Was dumbfounded after that

    I thoroughly enjoyed this! The groove, feeling, and tone as one is aural pleasure. Keep up the great work! Gotta love Canadian metal. I particularly like at 1:56 the way the lights sync with the beat, mesmerizing.

  • @lewismatthews4235

    So i guess the time signatures for the intro are:
    4/4, 4/4, then 15/8... beautiful

  • @tulpasconstructor2711

    After the 50th time listening to this song.. it has to be the most glorious thing i have ever heard. Other bands are using these types of time signatures and long measures and whatnot, but, it isnt this. haha I've never been more exited for a new album to come out! If its all stuff like this, I'm home. :P thank you martin for your hard work! I think that your mind has created something new and very special. This is something you just cant do with a group dynamic, making such a massive universe in just one song. Like chimpspanner only better hehe Dont anyone get me wrong though, i have great appreciation for the coming together of minds to create a unique sound and feel. :) cant wait to get my pre-order bundle!!

    This is insane! I think Cyclic is a very fitting name for this song!

  • @tummeloweGames
    @tummeloweGames 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Oh man this sounds so awesome. Feels so good that it sounds different from Entities too. Don't get me wrong, I love the raw power Entities presents to the listener, but this seems to be a evolved Pomegranate Tiger. Cyclic sounds more mature, thought out and still having that core technical stuff that makes Pomegranate Tiger what it is. I really look forward to hear the whole album.

    Interesting. This song sounds almost more like a demonstration of PT's new direction and production than anything. PT's definitely evolving, but there's not enough here before I get really excited. There's a lot of potential here. I'm definitely intrigued and I look forward to hearing more.

    • @thecrazies4587

      It's Martin doing all instruments. With a guest bass player on certain tracks. He's a hell of a drummer. Even better lead guitarist. He went to music school so he's very well educated on the insides and outsides of chord structures and progressions.

    • @TheShreddingHand
      @TheShreddingHand 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +TheCrazies Oh for sure, Martin is sickly talented. Virtuoso with multiple instruments! Just wondered what happened and if he planned on doing any more shows with other members. One of my favorite instrumental bands/artist for sure.

    • @thecrazies4587
      @thecrazies4587 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Eric Mohring pretty much he lost a band member a year since 2012 for some odd reason. I wouldn't be surprised if he got picked up by a big time metal core group sometime in the future. Are you aware of a guitarist named Kris Norris? Look up the album "Deliver Us." Its Darkest Hour's magnum opus in my opinion. I would love to see him in a band like Parkway Drive or periphery if they ever lost Holcomb or Bowen.

    Let me preface this by saying *Entities* is one of my most treasured and adored albums in my collection. With that being said, I was thoroughly and unexpectedly unimpressed with this track. Nothing about it, other than the phenomenal drumming, captured me in the slightest.
    Of course, I understand this is just a single track teasing the upcoming album. I'm sure the remainder of the tracks will be more inspired than this one. I have to admit this was extremely dull. Nevertheless, I have pre-ordered a copy of *Boundless* and am excited to have a listen at it. Keep doin' what you love, Martin. Cheers.

    Not bad... though, but just nothing really interesting to me. I've heard this kind of Instrumental stuff like million times...
    Also... it sounds so awfully synthetic. There isn't any character in that guitar tone.
