I would highly recommend that when you do these tests you leave everything stock except for the transmission. I would go with the race transmission all the way around. In a real car gear ratio's in the transmission and diff can have a huge impact on when torque "hits"
Enjoyed this! I need to watch a few times to get all the data straight as far as et/boost. Watching them grenade at high boost was fun and pretty realistic.
ive noticed that i get faster et's with a fully built 293, and not the 423 edit: i think its probably because its higher revving there for giving it more cow bell
It would be neat if you could somehow make it so it doesn’t lift the throttle between shifts so it’s not loading and unloading 16 pounds every shift to see if they lasted longer
I made a 3 cylinder 200BX based on the 2000 Honda Insight that can barely hold 5 PSI of boost, because the internals are built for lightness and efficiency.
What file do I need to choose to change the variable boost pressure for the d series? I’ve been looking for 2 hours and can’t find the correct engine file to increase the diesel turbo boost pressure
Go to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles\common.zip\vehicles\common\pickup and open pickup_engine_v8_diesel.jbeam. On the bottom, look for Stage 3 Variable Boost Turbocharger, you will see 3 numbers (14 14 and 35). Replace 35 with whatever you want to increase boost.
i expected the normal 7psi which you can put on all na cars if you dont tune the engine specialy for a turbo and 5psi maximum to be reliable without a tune
You should be loading the driveline at the starting line. Not really fair when the turbo has absolutely zero rpm at launch. You should run them all again and compare how they differ in times
can i ask about the information in left top corner. Where engine RPM, horsepower and such info. Is that a mod or is it in the game and where can i find it in the game or if a mod what page has it? Thanks in advance.
Hey, Would it make a difference with your ET’s if you were to take off in second gear? Maybe with the larger V- 8’s? (That are boosted) Also, what if you were to shift from 2nd to 4th? I noticed on a few of the runs that 2nd gear redlines at about 72 MPH. Maybe that wouldn’t stress the engine overly much or twist the drive shaft in half. And of course one more thing, I don’t know what kind of controller you use or how the program is set up, and I’m not throwing shade at you, this is just an observation, the shifts seem slow. I’ve never raced on a NHRA track, and I could be full of poo, but even when shifting with 3 on the tree I made faster shifts when street racing. So, is there any way you can decrease the time shifting between gears? Liked the video! In today’s video is that car body based on the old AMC Rebel? My texts are too f cking long.
Just an opinion, pardner. To me the Barstow looks like a body car with a fastback roof. The Matador also from AMC was a fastback too, but with a lot of curved body lines. All the BeamNG cars look like composites of several cars. The Bluebuck is a good example: from one angle it looks like a Chevelle, from another it looks like a Dodge, still another a Ford Fairlane.
I have some serious question here, how do you manage to add turbos to all the engines? Especially the V8 ones? I am no programmer or anything but i do know how to go in the jbeam file for each engine and changes some numbers there but i have no idea how to add an actual turbo to an engine. Can you make a tutorial ?
Psh my civic is faster than that shit and all I did was add some decals. Each one added at MINIMUM 150hp per flame decal. Not only that but I removed the muffler reducing its weight by a good 1k pounds. Oh and don't forget the wing. The bigger it is the faster you go! Thing has 6 splitters on it giving me tons of downforce. Beat that nErD-

Some of these motors really are hit or miss with boost application 😂😂👏
So would you do this test again but with all the parts that you can add to upgrade the engine because I wonder how much boost that can take
I think upgraded parts should take little or a lot more boost but it will be interesting to how much it can take.
i think fully upgraded it can make like over 50 psi i know that like 1400bhp

This game is so realistic, the bigger motor the weaker internals, just like the 5.7L hemi has stronger internals Than the 6.4L. Good video👍👍
Are you sure that’s not because the internals on the 5.7 are literally stronger and not because of size

Was gonna say "how with 7 main bearings?" But then I realized that's a looong head to keep sealed. Prolly blew out the HG.
@@bcubed72 usually the crankshaft suffers more in those engines, especially 7 bearings at high revs
