Never knew Kuretake had a whole set of ink slabs! So exciting!! I've worked with only sumi ink slabs when I was learning Chinese painting and calligraphy, and they're really nice and satisfying to work with. Trains your patience and teaches you to work slowly and enjoy the process of painting. They're wonderful! Can't wait to see you try them out!! :D

They look absolutely gorgeous, and honestly the price was WAY lower than I expected... it equals about $1 per color, which is INSANE for as big as those pans are!! Just take a look at the price on Daniel Smith watercolors and you'll know what I mean. Yeeeesh
I personally would love more info on the Saiboku Shimbi and the ink stone--I've been looking to get a proper inkstone for a while, and would like to know more!
The pearl colours and the gem colours are quite different after all, in terms of shine : the first ones all have a silvery shine, the other ones shine in different colours: ruby, gold, blue, etc.
The paint sticks look amazing, even just looking at them in the sence of the quality that they undoubtedly are. From the little wooden boxes to the ceramic thingy that you use to rub them with. It would be good to see you do another of your series of Kat paintings, in different climates and geographical locations, if what i'm assuming are a classic Japanese art medium... plus it was nice to see you again on camera, it's been a while, glad too see you back.

I would love, love, love to see videos done on the ink sticks and the huge water colour pan. The watercolours look so nicely made and I’m DROOLING over the packaging of the ink sticks. I’ve also never heard of such a supply so I’m interested to see how it works!
The Zig Clean Color brush tip pens are great with water too, I used them like watercolours where I would blend them with the water brush or scribble some onto a palette and then pick them up. They’re really versatile.
You're so lucky! Also, I love Sally, her face just makes me happy. My bf got me the 14 color portable watercolors after I saw your last video... I'm conflicted over maybe removing the gray and putting a different color into it.... But otherwise I love it and definitely want to get a full set. Also, I'd love to see and hear about the Sumi inks, please
I absolutely adore Kuretake, especially the Zig line. I have the whole range of Kuretake Zig letter pens and they are my favourite for both writing and drawing. They have the finest brush tip I have ever seen and the drawing experience was so nice I nearly cried trying them out. Sadly they are water soluble and I also love watercolour ... I never tried out their sumi but I am excited to see you try it out!

I love Kuretake products especially the Gansai Tambi line. I Wish I could get the new colors somehow, but all I can find are old sets of 36 colors that I already have. I'm really curious about the Sumi Ink but It would also be fun to see what you could do with the Dot Pens as well.

I'd love to see any art you make with any of these supplies, but most especially the art sticks. I took a Chinese Brush Painting course years ago and we would create our ink with the sumi ink stick and the stone....I didn't know the ink sticks were available in colors, I thought only black. I'd like to see how they work and what you think of them.

I loooooove ink sticks! It's really relaxing "rubbing" the stick in the stone with water until you have the intensity that you need. Also they last a veeery long time. I still have the first one which was super tiny from a Chinese painting book and it works just fine. So yeah, it would be cool seeing what you come up with those
Kuretake waterbrushes are my FAVORITES!!! You don't need to squeeze the barrel, they just flow perfectly. My first waterbrushes were the Pentel Aquwash brushes. I gave up on waterbrushes because it was impossible to control the flow with the Aquwash brushes. When I tried the Kuretake waterbrushes, they were perfect. I use them frequently, almost more often than regular brushes. Great product! Best part of the video - cat intermission! LOL
The dot pens look really neat! I mean it all looks cool but those are the most different, I wonder if they're also water soluble? Would be fun to see a pointillism piece!

Hi there! Thanks for sharing! I got some Sumi Ink Sticks for Christmas in a set with about 4 colors and I was just at a loss on how to use them. I did find a couple (not very helpful) tutorials on how to use them....I would love to see how you use them and what you would create! ❤️
What an awesome haul - there products are awesome - on the fence about getting the zig markers thou / very excited to see the ink sticks would love for you to review them maybe compare them to inktense sticks and could you test them on 1 or 2 colouring books to see how they react and if there is bleed thru- thanks - very happy for you. Id be interested to see how you tackle the spots when literally everything is made of dots haha. (Also I feel like tigers, lions and leopards often get painted, but cheetahs are a lot less common to find, even though they are super beautiful! I think their short scrunched faces make them look a little like Sally
