  • Kidney care is changing rapidly due to the adoption of value-based care, boosted by CMS’s Kidney Care models. Unfortunately, most nephrologists are left in the dark about its implementation and their role in this payment system.
To help navigate these new payment models, several startups have arisen (backed by both private equity and venture capital) to partner with nephrology practices. These include companies such as Strive, Somatus, Monogram, Cricket, Evergreen, Panoramic and more.
This discussion will include the insights of Dr. Qasim Butt, Dr. Bijal Patel, Dr. Mufaddal Kheda and David Arrieta.
    Topics to include:
    1) What is value-based care?
    2) What changes must be made to a practice to make it more “value based”?
    3) Differences between these kidney care start ups and partnering with them?
    4) Role of Nephrologist in these models
    Then Q&A.
The talk is meant for clinicians and those in kidney care wanting to learn both the basics and complexities of the change - all questions are welcome.

Awesome to hear man. Actually working at a transplant center now, great to see the joy on people's faces when they get a transplant.
